This is something truly special! We had the awesome opportunity to be in the cockpit on this Airbus A320 while flying from Copenhagen to Amsterdam with Scandinavian Airlines.

Hey, this is an excellent video, thank you! I'm starting a new channel based on air, land, and sea disasters, and I was wondering if you would be willing to let me use a couple 3-4 second segments of your footage in my first video - I need a shot of some a320 thrust levers being advanced and the sidestick being manipulated. I would of course give you credit in the description and notify you when it is released. The topic of the video is the cornfield landing of Ural Airlines Flight 178 in 2019 where everyone survives with minor injuries (interestingly, they also took off from runway 12). If you don't want anyone else using your footage I totally understand - thanks for sharing your video on KZbin regardless! All the best

Why did you leave IGNITION on during takeoff?!

They didn't. You can clearly see at 1:20 that ENG MODE SELECTOR is at normal. However, IAE engines automatically puts on IGNITiON during take-off, and that's what happened here.

Like what the person above said, but leaving the engine mode selector to IGN after start or before take-off isn't a bad practice...especially if you have reason to believe there might be flameout during some pretty rough turbulence shortly after take-off. Same reason why it's best to keep CONT ignition on the 737.

I think if you’re flying through clouds you would turn it on as a safety thing but also I’m sure the igniters are automatically on whenever flaps are deployed
