5:45 complaining about AOE in rooms with 50v50 is a bad argument, that's the intended use case. It's better to talk about why the game flow encourages the 50v50 in a 20m room in the first place. There's all this space in these maps but we're all just trying to cram ourselves into a small building.

I see what you're saying, but honestly, I doubt anyone is going to want to redesign every single base from the ground up to have less choke points. In my opinion, the weapons themselves should be nerfed. Maybe a max hit count? For example, you shoot the Lasher at a group of ten enemies and five get the damage at maximum? Something like that *could* work in theory.

battleflow has always been at the core of the problems in the game, gun balance is nice and needed every now and then, but how and where players move, and what influences their decision making is always what should've mattered most. I agree that at this point there's little more they can do other than the current new that's planned and small balance patches

Honestly you could try to combat this by allowing more opportunities to be used... make the game a bit faster (maybe 2-5% faster running speed and 2-8% faster sprint to weapon ready time). This makes choke points faster to cross allowing more "things that break stalemates" Also the infil should have a bit (200-500 ms) longer decloak and flashlights 5m longer throw - i think that allows aware players to be stronger against infils without them losing any versitility or too much power. Also Sunderer shields should not be passable by enemies and transfer damage to the sunderer instead of breaking. this gives defenders some much needed protection after spawning without making the sunderer too tanky (if thats not enough give the shield more health) Also also: nerf the skyguard a little (like 10% less DPS in the second half of the magazine) - One should by itself not be able to lock down the sky for 3-9 players and their enemies Also also maybe nerf the renegade, so it takes a shot more to kill and make cloaked flashes deal reduced damage driving over ppl

1:56 THANK YOU VERY F*ING MUCH, yes it is frustrating/annoying, but not overpowered, I can totally agree on rather buffing less used classes than nerfing a Stalker Infiltrator with the Pistol.... There is still the Deep Operatives Implant bug, that let's you decloak 75% faster, that's what f*cks up the guys, but they barely know. That needs a fix...

"Hurr durr Nerf infil" is kind of priority , its not a complex subject. Bolt sniping and cloak sniping kill the rhythm of a killstreak. The entire battle will prosper from it.

I get that infils can be annoying, but in my opinion killstreaks aren't something many people care about. Infiltrator has many counters, and even if you don't use those, they can be seen with their distortion while invisible and moving. Sure, there might be a streak-ending SMG infil every one in a while, but is that really the most important thing to worry about?

Running a flashlight greatly eliminates the threat of an infil, unless their sniping, which I rarely see anymore.

Calling an Infil an "900 HP Pistol Guy" is a massive understatement. Infils with Pistol only are not the Problem. The Problem are the ones with SMGs. They have an above average damage output on close range, which they can easily engage in due to their cloaking. These Infils are really disruptive especially in small fights (they are basically assassins not infiltrators). Of course it can be argued that this is a valid strategy. For my taste it is too excessively used and ruining small fights for non-cloaking classes, because they are hard to counter. They need to be nerfed. Yes, Planetside 2 is still a very good game and it certainly won't die quickly. But looking back to Cobalt (which was decaying rapidly in terms of server pop at its end), what is (very slowly) going to kill the game is the faction imbalance: In the final year of Cobalt the VS would bring too often more than 1/3 more players to the battleground than each the other factions (so it was approx. 40/30/30) and steamroll fights (2024 alone VS won 46% of all Alerts on Colbalt). And Miller is now going in the same direction. Of course this won't kill the game instantly, but it will negativley impact the quality of the fights long-term and maybe even result in a vicious circle because tons of players will be leaving (Never played on Soltech but I think there are similar issues but with NC). This is imo the most critical point that needs adressing/balancing. Other issues are Bugs (the well known soundbug is especially annoying and has after a long absence returned) and hackers (or better the lack of moderation or autodetection of a new account that just kills hundreds within the first hour). And the problem is, that instead of adressing these issues, the devs do something else: New sounds, mechanics (fishing) and weapons nobody asked for. Now at the end of the day it is nice to know that they still want to invest into the game, but on the other hand sad that they don't seem to realize what the game really needs. Btw. the Betelgeuse IS overpowered: It has the damage-ouput of a SMG, with better Aim-Acc and almost the Hip-Acc of an AR. And an increased mag size with heat-mechanics. And no bulletdrop.

Yes, faction balance is an issue that probably should get addressed If you check out fisu leaderboard, the global stats for vanu miller are generally 1.2 - 1.4 k/d. TR especially has been hit hard by this, I've seen their k/d as low on average as 0.7. Half that of Vanu. I don't know what the solution would be besides making some kind of Outfit Wars type weekly event to encourage the sweats to go TR/NC again because their guns are better.

Infil is fine..get better and hunt him down (use utilities and implants if you must, get a darklight, have a better loadout to counter, go infil and counter OR just die...its war game duh) However.. The infil FLASHES are indeed a problem. ALSO devs need to make money or games dies...flash, concussion etc grenades,,,yea theres an implant for that, buy it and keep the game going. Everyone has a preference..and your not supposed to LIKE what the enemy is doing, its supposed to be an annoyance. AND I rarely EVER play infil so Im not protecting their style because I'm not one. Deal with it...go kill them...get the implant to counter. I'm mostly happy that it seems the game will live as per your vid today, so thanks AND...juice its Beetle JUICE 🥤😅 🥤
