Some bases have landing pads with an ammo symbol on them. That's where you resupply aircraft. To resupply land vehicles, look for pillars with large ammo symbols on top and drive near them, or you could find a friendly sunderer with the ammo symbols on the side. Hope this helps.

Yes. Turn joystick sensitivity low, about a fingers width. I've changed my controls easily over a dozen times, flying is not like a plane given the ascend thrusters are extremely important (Extreme 3D Pro I have throttle flap as my ascend/descend). It's not obvious at first but the throttle up/down is very easy to work with as top buttons; throttle up locks speed incrementally ;)

I'm guessing the controls have changed since this vid was made. If you want to do the "power reverse" maneuver you have to use "pitch up" and "pitch down" as opposed to "look up" and 'look down" as explained in the video.

Only Sunderers equipped with the AMS can spawn troops. It may look like Galaxies can spawn troops, but they can hold up to 12 troops (including MAXs) and with a Spawn Beacon, troops in a particular squad can hot-drop in that area.

Some gaming mice have thumb buttons on them so you can bind keyboard functions to the mouse. Don't know how much help this is months after u asked tho.

Quad bikes can fly too, the turbo cert on the quadbike is basically a rocket, it's not connected to the wheels*. If you face straight up (try to climb a building) you can even VTOL with it. 3... 2... 1... LIFDOFF *note: On the Harasser however the turbo IS connected solely to the wheels, so you'll need traction to use it on the Harasser. Not so with the Quad-bike though, on the quadbike it even works when you're stuck on your back (good way to right yourself & avoid blowing up).

Press Page Down (Rarely used key between the letters and the number pad on a desktop keyboard) There's a red X that can be clicked to boot everyone out of your vehicle. There, you can also set it so that only squad/platoon mates can be in your vehicle if you want, or that nobody can jump in your vehicle.

You CAN use an Xbox controller for this game, all you need is xpadder (I pirated mine) and you're good to go. Xpadder is fairly easy to configure, the only thing is is that all your doing is moving the keybindings to your controller. And you cannot just use any controller, it has to be wired or if it's wireless then you must have an adapter for it

Joystick sensitivity still needs to be fixed. I had to manually edit the ini file to set it below 1.0 (the minimum on the in-game slider). With it at 1.0 even with setting my joystick sensitivity via the logitech software to 1% it was still uber sensitive. If you implement the joystick configuration abilities from PS1 into PS2 you will make tons of people VERY happy (means we can also fix the joystick acceleration curve, its currently more or less a straight line).

Using the up & down mouse buttons has helped improve as a pilot tenfold, but no matter what combination of keys I try I cant seem to pull off the reverse trick. Do you need certs in handling or air brake?

At 3:09, the author said that only the Scythe could do the power reverse maneuver. At 4:07, he said that all aircraft could do it. I would like to try it in a Galaxy if it's common to all aircraft.

I believe you need to equip them at the vehicle load out screens before deployment. No idea how to do that mind you.

Depends on your play style. I have been flying in games with a stick since BF1942 and never learned how to fly with a mouse. That being said, personal preference is yes, its worth it. More-so if PS2 fixes the stick issues. I have a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro that ran be about $40 a couple years ago and love it. $30 - $50 is average. Can get a cheap one for < $15. High-end stuff can be well over $100 if you have a large enough wallet.

1 month later and I'm a pretty good mosquito pilot now. I was pretty emo there, though I still think there should be some learning area or safezone for the ships. They are crazy the first few times you fly them. But yeah. after few hours of smashing into walls they are pretty easy.

The main reason aircraft controls sucks for me is that the camera does not follow the orientation to the aircraft so I end up crashing into the ground when I try to go upward.

This is my main gripe with the whole of PS2 ESF's. Be at a 10 to 15 degree angle Use the following keys Ascend, Look Down, Slow Down and Afterburn and Hoverkey (Yes, 5 keys). Now, most of the time you go forward if you push them at the wrong time. Surely they should replace the idea of 5 keys to do this with 1, because that is stupid making it near on impossible to actually do anything useful. PS2 need to update the video, as the screen shown is actually a version of the game from 2012. There is now (2015) 3 DOWNS listed, Cockpit, Throttle & Pitch. I can in part do this, but it will not work with a mouse, with a joystick (which is the only way I seem to be able to fly), only the keyboard, doing reverse loops or slightly flying backwards, which in fairness is not going backwards as shows in numerous videos. You put yourself at a 10 degree angle, push afterburn, pitch down and throttle down with airbrake (throttle) you go backwards in a loop, not actually fly backwards, add the additional key of left of right will make it more backwards, but very little control, now pushing 5 buttons, attempt to fire, which is not possible, making those who can do this have an unfair advantage. Without being able to do this, you in short are left to be a sitting duck being unable to actually fight or defend yourself (I am BR 87). The only way of solving this is either removing the ability to fly backwards or enabling a key so everyone can do this with the push of a single key which would make it even and fair for all players. Scythe also do have the upper hand in flying backwards due to their airbrake. Mosquito next then lastly Reaven.
