Thank you for an excellent show this week. Last week's panel was very unruly and continually talked over each other, but the members of this week's panel respectfully listened to each other's points of view. Agree. I watch the faces of weather reporters on all channels....I look for the slightest sign of a snigger or a suppressed smile and I say " how can you say all that with a straight face?" Yep, it’s weird. We had upper 90’s which is not at all unusual. That day the news reported record breaking temperatures. If you look it up, the same day of the year had several years of over 100 temperatures with a high of 115 F, 46 C in 1954. I’m not buying what they’re selling!

I live near Southwold in Suffolk, I was there the other day and there were coach loads of pensioners sitting on the beach enjoying the sun, they decided to throw caution to the wind preferring it to sitting indoors with their curtains drawn which they will be doing for the next 6 months.Its what people have been doing for years before the lunatics took over the asylum and told us all that fresh air and sunshine was dangerous, I absolutely despair with whats going on in this world.
@badgambler-un5ck Жыл бұрын
I agree. The fear-mongering...or better put...the propaganda being used on the people of the UK on a daily basis is actually very worrying. Every weather map now on MSM is a deep dark red subconsciously sending us messages of possible death if we venture out in the sun, its 100% totalitarianism being done by our own government...whats their end game?

@whatsgoingon4815 Жыл бұрын
@@margueritahancock5472 So sunstroke is a new phenomena is it? If you sit in the sun for too long you are likely to get sunstroke and always have been. This summer certainty has not been particularly warm in fact its a typical British summer. Your neighbour will do far more harm to herself by staying inside both physically and mentally, the suns rays taken sensibly are good for you.

Emma Thompson? I recall many decades back hearing her slanging off England (on a French talk radio programme) as opposed to Scotland, saying people often say to her that she sounded /talked much more ‘pleasant’ than ‘the usual Brit ‘ ie from England, to which she would reassure them that that was because she wasn’t English but Scottish….What absolute conceited snobbish bs I thought at the time! But the biggest farce was her former husband Branach giving her the role of Henry V’s betrothed ! To compare the literally large-skulled big-headed Dame Thompson with the lovely fine-featured sweet voiced lady perfect in her gentle charm - Renée Asherson - chosen for the same role in Olivier’s magnificent version of Henry V would be like comparing a worn out cart-horse with a sleek greyhound

You are right about the garden waste collection, which is ridiculous. But you are incorrect about the bulky waste. Veolia do the council waste collection.
