Esther should run for parliament. She has more common sense and ethics than most Mp’s . Why should counsellors of Birmingham be paid their salaries when they have not done their job properly?

The NHS is being privatised by the Tories and New labour have plans to carry on doing the same. They have very deliberately underfunded the service so that it crumbles away. Then they say "the NHS cannot continue, we need to privatise it". What they don't say is that they are being paid by private companies to undefund the NHS. In 2012 Lansley introduced his disaterous NHS "reforms" - without due dillegence and after Cameron had made an election promise "no top-down reforms". The reforms forced the NHS to tender for care from the private sector. Lansley was taking money off the Circle group of health insurers. By the way, they want to bring in the US model. Which is why they have sold your NHS data to US spy company Palinter. And why they place US insurance companies on NHS boards. And, it means your health insurance will rocket. This from a simple internet search "The United States has one of the highest costs of healthcare in the world. In 2022, U.S. healthcare spending reached $4.5 trillion, which averages to $13,493 per person." And outcomes are way worse. TalkTV is owned by a billionaire tax-dodging non-dom. He is mates with the health care rip-off merchants - and has had more than 200 meetings with government this past year.

Im Australian and have visited the UK many times. I have always thought it a beautiful place. What a sad state the UK is in at the moment. I feel like I can't visit the UK anymore. Every country is going through similar maybe on a different scale but the UK seems to have taken it the absurd. I feel so sorry for the normal British public. It hurts me to hear about it.

This happened to me in the UK back in 1992 - my house was robbed - the thieves even took the pram and the baby´s milk - I reported the crime. A fortnight later I was visited, unannounced by a victim support counsellor. A most peculiar person - she had her cup of coffee and some digestive biscuits and left. So I was robbed twice 🤣

MIKE GRAHAM, I've got your son beat waiting in A&E in Ontario, Canada. I waited 12 hours in the waiting room, in a broken steel wheelchair with NO padding with a broken back(shattered T3 and T4. No analgesia for the pain, no nothing. 12 f-ing hours before they brought me thru. Let me add, they did NOT have a bed to put me in, I had to stay in that wheelchair! After having a scan and the doctor realized my situation, she immediately started an IV to get me loaded with pain meds. She wanted me to stay overnight to get the pain under control. I said unless you can put me in a bed I'm out of here. And of course there was no bed, I asked she remove the IV which she did. She gave me a prescription for pain meds and out of there I went. Hate to tell you, our NHS is worse than yours, imagine.

Re the “human” milk. A great article on this , debunking the male “milk” on Millie Hill’s sub stack. The “research” only included anecdotal evidence from one man, who managed to produce 150mls after the “cocktail “ of drugs. Some of the other research was in low numbers of women who were adopting babies and wanted to bre@st feed. There was no long term follow up, or outcomes listed for the babies.

As to Birmingham council not picking up garbage, let every household organise their own collectors. They can get into cooperative and ask garbage collectors to tender for their garbage. That way they can choose the lowest or the best, or the one that they want, and then they can send their garbage collection tax invoices to the council for a council tax rebate. That way the people are not held hostage to a corrupt Council. My father had been an alderman on the Sydney City Council and also chairman of the community services board. He would be tearing his hair out if he was still alive. In his 70s he was swearing at the local council that took their rates and spent it all on the town that the town hall was based in. He said if you was any younger he would have given them a run for their money, but as it was, he was retired. He was feeling too old for their feculance. He would have done a great job, he was a good Community-minded man.

After hearing everything, both the Speaker and leader of the Labour Party should resign for Parliamentary misconduct that brought the House into disrepute. I looked at the SNP motion and it was a virtue call. I'm not sure why they thought it would do anything less than political shenanigans in the House. If it was carried it wouldn't help a single person in Scotland so what's the point of the motion?.

The top of the recommended reading shelf for LBGT++++ month in my Sussex library is "de-transition baby" but there is a whole shelf of books on that one competing with other ultra woke displays and with Thrillers etc banished to the margins. So perhaps the top echelons of the NHS believe in that stuff as much as local authority librarians.

My experience of our NHS has been nothing short of fantastic. Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford and Colchester General Hospital and Colchester Primary Care. The treatment that both my husband and I have received was first class. Both hospitals are extremely clean. I suspect that A&E departments’ waiting areas probably reflect the people who turn up at 3am in their jimjams either intoxicated or suffering from substance abuse. Stop bashing the NHS.

Thought the Scots ferry disaster was Meikle Ferry in 1809. The failure to build ferries, was that the moment it could float, tow it to St Nazaire or Rotterdam and let the French or Dutch sort out the mess

The war in Gaza has everything to do with this country as shown by the power struggle in Parliament this week, and on our streets over the last few months. The battle is for the western way of life or the middle eastern way of life to become the norm. with all it brings.

Sorry folks, but please rethink who comes on the panel as Ester is great and funny. Peter is well informed and also so funny. Georgia is extremely intelligent and interesting..... but honestly Alex is soooo boring and slighly pompous.
