Hello my dears! I feel like I always have to pin a comment and clarify things after reading through some comments. Just because I am planning to get my eggs frozen does not mean I won't be dating. It also does not mean I will be actively raising the baby alone (though I can if I want to). I am just getting ahead and making a plan. I know too many women who are in their 40s, single, and regret not getting their eggs frozen in their early 30s. Love uuuuu byeeeeee

You’re wise to check on your fertility. But you can have a fulfilling, worthwhile life regardless of whether you marry or have children. Pls don’t ignore red flags just to have a family. The costs far outweigh the benefits.

This has me thinking about my own fertility. I just turned 30 and despite family members telling me "don't have a baby" all my life now the tides are turning and they're asking me WHEN now lol. I'm also in Georgia and the RvW overturn is scary. I heard that not only is abortion at stake if you live in a red state but also things like IVF, which is,crazy. And that's scary for us women who might need to turn to that if we unfortunately can't get pregnant.

So comforting to see this video. I will be 35-years old next month. I, too, am thinking deeply about beginning my journey to Motherhood. You're on your own journey! You can have a child or not. You can get married or not. There are no hard and fast rules to life, regardless of what society, religion, family or whoever/whatever tries to push upon you. Walk your own path, there are single parents by choice or circumstance and they do wonderfully. There are couples who raise children and do great. Listen to YOUR heart on what's important to and for YOU and move based on that. There will always be opinions, but yours is the most important when it comes to your life! Much success to you on EVERYTHING!

I love this perspective. Women (especially black women) are often shamed for even considering a “less traditional” route to family planning. If I hadn’t gotten married and had my first child already, I would also be considering this. I’m 32 and I think this is an awesome and safe way to plan for the future.

Baby fever is perfectly normal and it’s something that hit me at the age of 27, but it’s not wise to have a baby outside of marriage. Children deserve two, responsible and devoted parents. Planning to have a child just because you want one and not thinking about what’s best for the child is making it all about you. The act of bringing life into this world is not about you, it’s about the child 100%.
