Loved this one Stu, I spent last Monday and Tuesday around Crummock and Buttermere and went home with next to bugger all ! I love that Tree in portrait with just the mist. These Vlogs are from the heart and really love them, and to all newcomers when all this restriction is over, book a couple of days with him, you will not be disappointed

Totally understand why photographic instinct comes first, particularly in conditions like that ! And right to be considerate of others peace when talking to camera. Great photos , including the drone stills.

I agree with you regards photography, when I'm out on location I always make sure I get the shot(s) first, then talk about the composition I've set up, much less stressful that way!

Hi Stuart: You are so fortunate to have so many different and lovely locations to create images. Very thoughtful of you not to intrude on the other photographer's experience. The subtle nature of the light was remarkable. Love the B&W images you have captured. I like that you go for the images first and then fill in the 'B' roll after. No issues. Wonderful conditions, and getting out for both exercise and recreation in conditions like that really helps lift the spirits I think. We had fog yesterday so I cycled up to some local woods and had a wonderful hour. Hope you can sort the workshop out when things calm down, if I was more mobile it was one I was interested in (waiting for a new hip at present). Love the one of the tree and rocks / pebbles under water - keep well.

Ah cheers mate yeah it was very tempting to go to one of the more recognisable spots with that mist forecast but I’m pleased in the end that I gave that wee tree a chance, made for something a bit different from the usual haunts anyway.

No need to apologise Stuart, the story is told to perfection. That end of Crummock is one of my favourite places in the Lakes. Had a few very memorable November mornings there, and I hope to have more in the future. Excellent advice on travel during lockdown too - I have been planning a shoot about 2 hours away from me since last November but there is no way I feel within my rights ot do it now. It will have to wait to 2021. Keep doing what you do as best you can and it will pass, eventually. The important thing is that we are all safe and healthy to enjoy life post Covid.

Looks like a great location, like the second shot without the fog too as the clouds circling the mountain work well The golden light reflected in the water is a nice touch on the shot with fog as it breaks the monochrome look that a lot of that type of shot have. Hope you’re doing well

Stuart love your you tube it inspires me for my once a year trip to the lakes. I had to watch this again. A question, my plan trip in october is to get up to cat bells but i only want to take one lens with me to keep the weight down as i am not getting any older. i have ruled out my wide angle but i cannot choose between my 24-105 or 70-200 i shoot on a Sony A7riii thanks Rob
