Amazingly ironic how those previously unwanted highlights in the clouds turned out to totally make the lonely tree photo. Spectacular, Mads. Simply spectacular!!

This kind of highlight is fine because it's controllable, it's those even stronger highlights directly hit by the sun :)

Hi Mads, I don't know how I'd managed to miss this but I've only just found it. I live on the edge of the Lake District and it's the focus of my photography and videos. I felt a huge amount of pride as you described the beauty of the place that I have chosen to call home. I've watched your videos for a while and allowed you to introduce me to places all across Europe that I didn't know existed so it is strange to see you work in a landscape that I know so well. Next time you visit be sure to spend a bit more time here, least of all to allow those of us that enjoy your videos so much to buy you a pint. It is after all the least we can do.

Hehe thanks a lot Chris! I'll hold you up on that offer! I'm very happy to get the acknowledgement from the locals! I'll stay longer next time for sure! :)

What an amazing episode again... I really like the honesty about when things don't go according to the plan, I always get frustrated when the sky shows colours at the "wrong" side or time... and I used to think it only happens to me :P I'm not a naturally patient person but landscape photography helps me to stay positive and take the best of what conditions I get :) enjoy the Lofoten trip!
@MadsPeterIversen7 жыл бұрын
I think it's very important to realize ones "bad" sides and then learn how to better them and becoming a better person. If Landscape Photography gives you that on top of great photos and video it's just perfect! :) Thank you very much Nina :)

The Lake District is one of my favorite places in the world, although I haven't been there in more than 15 years. After watching your video I want to go back. You also have encouraged me to look at all weather, even cold, cruddy, rainy weather as something not to run and hide from, but an opportunity to be explored. As you have shown, sometimes lousy weather can yield the most amazing scenes and moods. It's worth persisting - even with a hole in the wellie.

I was at Castlerigg stone circle earlier in the year myself. I was trying to get to Tewet tarn, which is just up the road for a 5am sunrise shot. However, I couldn't get to the tarn as about 2000 runners were getting ready for an event! Castlerigg made a good compromise, but was pretty busy even at 5.30am in May!
@MadsPeterIversen7 жыл бұрын
That's so interesting that Castlerigg is that busy. I've never seen photos from there on the social medias - or maybe they didn't catch my attention. It's quite interesting :) I must look into that tarn too :)
@wylie_photo7 жыл бұрын
Castlerigg is a classic image for the lakes, but you can see why! I was only told about Tewet tarn myself this year. There are some images of it on Google. When the tarn is calm you get good reflections of the fells in the background. The Lakes is definitely somewhere you could spend a lifetime exploring - let alone Scotland. I am looking forward to your videos of there, as Scotland is world class in its scenery!
