I’ve used a couple of those id badge holders, the ones with a retractable cord. 7 years no dramas. Think I got them off eBay $11 delivered for 2.

Great episode. Thought you were going to lock Sarah in the Camper then. Trailer fit out is coming along nicely. Portable Toilets are becoming a must have these days.

Ex Army Sig here. I honestly thought that after you discussed the shower and toilet add-on to your set up, that you would have made some comment about becoming a "pouge" :). Loving your videos and I certainly understand some of the terminology that is in your content. I do have one question..... do you have a "FRED" within your kitchenware???? keep up the great work with the videos, I'm certainly getting some great ideas.
@Haveacrack764 ай бұрын
Dammit! No I dont have a FRED. It pains me to think I would have to purchase one

Just wondering why you've mounted the fridge so that the display is at the back where you can't see it easily? I have the same fridge and know that the cable plugs into the display end which is really really dumb (they fixed this on the later model). I bought a longer cable and run it under the fridge so that the display is visible without sliding it out. Yes you can use your phone to monitor it but then you've got to go looking for your phone. Love your vids. Cheers

Its the way it was when I got it. To be honest, I have never thought about it. Its a bloody good point. I should probably look at that. Thanks mate

I used a rubber coated P clamp and a curly cable in my ute canopy. So far so good.

Would have liked a video on wiring up the Anderson plug on the back of the car.
@Haveacrack766 ай бұрын
Oh really? I didnt do one as they are just so common I didnt think it was worth it. There is a dcdc in the trailer, so its just wire directly from the battery to the anderson with a inline fuse. Very simple setup.
@MrRobinski6 ай бұрын
@@Haveacrack76 ok thanks, i haven't done it yet so would have been interesting to see what gauge wire you used, if you ran straight from the alternator what fuse you used, and where it was positioned?
@MrRobinski6 ай бұрын
@@Haveacrack76 did you use a kit with an isolator? Seems a bit to understand to getting it right.
@Haveacrack766 ай бұрын
@@MrRobinski I didnt as I have a DCDC in the trailer.

QLD is the same for national parks. Permit to 4wd on it and camp. And a lot you need your own toilet like you just purchased

I was told to leave water in the tank then drain it and refill before the next trip. Not sure if its the correct way though...
@Haveacrack766 ай бұрын
Yeah Im seeing people do either by the look of it. I used the same principle of my old army water bottles. When youre not using them, keep them empty.

WA you have to pay to go into the National parks plus camping

Becomes more expensive to camp eh
@Col.B16 ай бұрын
Give the Hawkesbury camp a miss, I planned that, it's a busy boat ramp right beside freeway, I kept going north another hour and into a state Forest area about 30 minutes off highway on left and free camped called Casuarina camping area, nice spot. NSW parks camping is expensive compared with Vic parks sites and NSW involves a car pass and additional camp site cost, not sure if they check car pass or not but I was checked by a ranger at a coast site where I just booked site. Runva winches are very good, beat big brands in a test on KZbin, Vic company. Have a great trip
@Haveacrack766 ай бұрын
Thanks mate. I dont think we are talking about the same place. The one Im staying at is a good 15km from freeway. Thanks for the reminder! I also need to get a car pass for the national parks... dammit

I put an anderson plug on my air pump so I can pump car and trailer tyres from the back anderson plug instead of using clips on the battery under the bonnet and hope the cable length will reach both.
