Just remember the faster the pump, the faster you go through water. Give me a slow pump always when off grid

Definitely a consideration. Ill get down underneath and see what the pump is now before i do anything

I run one of the eBay jobs for years, had a 4L/m 12v pump running on 18v drill battery daily use for 2 years. I expected it to burn out within the first month of use…. Stick ya big ass seaflow pump, if it takes me 10 extra seconds filling the kettle out camping, who cares, the saved water will give u an extra few days out and that’s all that matters.

Running a 3L/min on my water tank on purpose, so keep water use at a minimum... Fill up system is a 17L/min! Now that goes.

I use a 2 litre/ min. Pump just for the shower and 10 litre/ min for kitchen use. 2 litres/ min your still using 10 litres for a 5 min shower, so I wouldn't want a pump any more powerful than that.

Hi Mate, enjoying your info. remember if you have a 12 L per minute pump you're going to use 60 L for a 5 minute shower. It might be better to get a new shower head with reduced flow but with more pressure from what it does put out. Caravan stores should be able to assist with that, or look up something like the ECO CAMEL or JET STORM shower head. cheers.

A bit late I know but 9 litres per minute is a pretty fast water flow. In fact I took it out of my trailer and put a 5 litres per minute in because I was using too much water! Wew have a 9 litres per minute in our caravan and the pressure is almost like at home. I think 9 per minute is more than adequate but you might find you are using a bit more water. Brand is Sureflo.

Thanks mate. Turns out the cavity to fit a water pump in the trailer is only large enough to fit what I have anyway.

I'm going to er on the side of low water pressure. My home trailer build will have 6 x 22lt jerry's daisy chained. The last time I did the Simpson, Showers were no more than 5 lt. Ill be looking for about 10 lt PM but be able to choke it down. On the East coast, Water is everywhere so crank it up

I run Flojet Triplex 11lpm at 50psi pumps. One in the vehicle and another in the camper trailer. Very happy with them and no issues so far, quiet with good pressure. The camper trailer one is 10yrs old and still going strong.

Great rundown of your trailer and what can go wrong being that you've had dealings with Vic off-road. They have a fantastic water pump. They supply with their camping hot water service give that a crack. I have one, and it may be good enough to put in the camper. If not go out and buy yourself a sure flow water pump. They're up there in price but they never break I've had one for over 12 years running and it pumps a lot of water and can be adjustable which is a bonus for pressure and volume.

I have the Deluxe 1 and love it mate - very similar set up to yours. Joolca do a standalone pump you could use, plumbed from your rear water outlet. I do that and it works a treat. Just bought a small 12v battery to power and sit next to the pump.

Fantastic video. I had been listening to to the Trump Biden debate, got fed up and went back to Home Screen. Spotted your set-up, out in the bush and immediately thought of our similar set up sitting out in the garage. Decided to see what you were up to! 😅. Loved your style, almost went outside and grabbed our firepit out to light as I was wishing we were away. Glad you found a love for your shower tent and toilet, the shower tent is so much easier to use than the old style bendy type. As for water……. As others have said, if your pump goes with too much pressure your water will run out in no time. We have a 9 litres per hour - sureflow - repurposed from our caravan. We like a shower but are careful to turn on and off and not stand under there having a soak. As we spend a lot of time in the northern WA bush without access to water we also have a 100 litre caravan water tank in the back of our rig with a pump on that so we can transfer water as we run low. We have worked on our set-up for a year or so and are pretty happy with our result, always something we can change though. Keep the videos coming. Off to look at your other offerings and subscribe of course. Happy travels.

Thanks mate. Water is certainly easier to get on the east coast. I could fill up again in almost any town. But 9-11 litres seems to be the sweet spot. Glad youre enjoying the content. Thanks for the sub

stick with the low flow/pressure issue, takes time for the water to get up to temp though the heater if you push it too fast you wont get it hot enough, also if your shower head wont let it through fast enough and your on a high LPM pump the pump will constantly cycle on off with pressure cutout.... im about to change from the 10L factory one down to the 6LPM one supplied with the shower
