Dawson, I am from Indonesia and we have 'Rendang' here as our signature dish. It's even acknowledged as one of the most tasty food in the world by CNN. The food uses a lot of herbs, spices and coconut milk and relies on slow cook process. Try to recook it by your own version, you won't regret it Just make sure you stick to the original recipe or clearly stated that you recook it by your own version (as a disclaimer ) . Some of us can be very judgmental if you deviate from the original recipe lol Also distinguish between Rendang and' Kalio', rendang is the final stage of the process and produces the dry result. Kalio is the stage before we reach the rendang stage, but some people like kalio even more :)

I made this sauce last night and it was DELICIOUS! So so flavorful. I didn't have mushroom seasoning but I did have vegan oyster sauce so I used that in place of the seasoning. I used air fried tofu because it was the quickest thing I could whip up. I do have some vegan beef so next time I'll try it with that. I've watched a bunch of your videos and I love your channel!! And your energy! Thank you for your amazing recipes and new ideas.

first i want to say that i’m in love with your cooking confidence. especially being vegan and having so many different vegan options to choose from, you make it seem so easy and natural. almost as if being vegan was the ordinary thing to do ! i’ve seen a lot of vegan “chefs” online and even tried some recipes but all were absolute trash. however this recipe actually looks delicious and your confidence, skill and even traditional understanding of other cultures is very inspiring. i would love if you posted some videos on you just talking about your vegan journey and how you got into cooking ! as a fellow vegan for the past 10 years im starting to see that the world needs more people like you. so THANK YOU

With pretty much all cooking shows, you see the cook take one or two tastes at the end, and that's it. With this cooking show, you see Dawson spend minutes eating most of his meal as you sit and watch. I'm finding this method to be thoroughly enjoyable. Watching him take real bites -- big bites, at that -- bite after bite has the effect of really making my mouth water. I just stumbled upon this KZbin channel of Dawson's recently, and I'm already hooked. 👍

This is an awesome recipe……💥🔥⚡️ The “only” thing I would do differently is cut more of the stalk off & cook those “1st” & then add the leafy part of the broccoli to the pan (or wok). Because the stalks take longer to cook & soften up. So U can take full advantage of eating “all” of the broccoli. But once again, an amazing recipe, for sure…..
