Just a quick oil-free hummus tip for anyone who may not know: Use the liquid from the can of chickpeas (a.k.a. aquafaba), or liquid from beans you cook from dry, instead of oil.

thankyou for this!! i made hummus yesterday and the chickpeas were very dry and refused to cream, thats a first!

@@brendadillon7783 Bummer ☹️ The aquafaba works perfectly as a substitute for the oil. I even substitute it for oil in my baked goods…I figure less calories, so I can eat more 😉

@@ed7187 when I started eating healthier 19,92 following Dr Dean Ornish's program. That is near vegetarian I did experience a lot of flatulence in the beginning. After one or two weeks your body digestion copes with the changes in fiber and the flatulence subsided. And I did it without "bean-o" Bean-o would help if you are in a social Environment,. I wasn't.

Oh WOW. My mushroom hating family absolutely loves these. My eldest daughter said the first bite made her mouth water. My youngest said the mushroom tasted like steak strips. My notoriously mushroom loathing husband, who's life vow was to never eat a portabello, tried one before assembly. His response "oh my goodness this doesn't taste anything like a mushroom." He is now smitten and has asked for them as a side dish.LOL. THANK YOU Jane and Anne!

I’ve watched your videos and love your enthusiasm. The ones I’ve tried have been very good! The heart doctor has told me that we must make some major changes - (he is recommending Dr Ornish’s program). But when i showed him your Prevent and Reverse book/cookbook he said that would be fine. Your videos and books make it seem less overwhelming and actually possible to make these huge new changes.

I made these sandwiches yesterday and they turned out exactly like the picture in the Plant Strong book. It was helpful to watch the videos. The roasted peppers video, and pepper ridge sandwich. I added clover alfalfa sprouts. And YES the hummus needs to be on both side. They were amazing in flavor, and they do fill you up. Thank you so very much. Hello Ann, Jane I just love watching the both of you. You share such wonderful recipes and I will be trying this one out as well it looks so delicious. FYI: my husband was diagnosed with heart issues last January 2021. His heart was functioning at 25 percent along with a leaking valve. We were advised to try a full plant based/ vegan diet. To make a long story short being new to the plant base world I purchased Dr. Esselstyn book How to Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease along with the cookbook. I give God praise and honor within 5 to 6 months my husbands heart function and size went back to normal. We jumped in with both feet following the plant base diet. Thank you so much for sharing the gift God blessed you with.

Hello. I'm following Dr. Esselstyn to halt and try to reverse artery disease in my legs, heart and other places in my body. Is this bread ok for me to have?
@ChrisB_Esq2 жыл бұрын
Just a quick comment about Anne crumbling parchment paper. Yes, it does make it easier to fit the pan. However, it breaks down the integrity of the paper and thus compromises the intended benefit. In some instances it doesn’t matter, but in long baking it definitely does. It defeats the purpose of the parchment and allows food burning, as well as the parchment paper sticking to the pan in cases. Signed. A Baker
