Lol, a creation full of suffering and despair. What kind of weak ass God can't creat a perfect world? Hell the abrahamic God can't even stop the devil, unless everything the devil does is part of his plan. 🤷🏽♂️ If you read the Bible the devil only kills 10 people, and he only did it because he lost a bet to God. Satan only wanted to educate Adam and eve whilst God kept them in the dark. God slaughtered millions, all because we weren't up to his standards. I saw a YT video recently - explaining if you want to live off the land - you can do so easily with a cereal-crop like wheat for carbohydrates, beans and or pulses (like lentils) for protein, and oil from sources like olive trees - these elements ensure you do not go hungry and have the basics of what you need to live - this can be done for a family on a modest plot of land - I think his family lives well on 750 sq. meters - then you can add a vegetable garden as the ‘cherry on top’

I've been eating lentils nearly every day for the last couple of weeks. I started sprouting lentils and I've been putting the sprouts in almost every meal. I add them to salads, soups and stews, and I put them on my sandwiches instead of lettuce. They take only a couple of minutes to cook after they've sprouted and apparently they are much better for you once they've sprouted. The sprouting gets rid of a lot of the anti-nutrients, such as phytic acid. I've been sprouting mung beans and mustard seeds as well. I've now got lentils, other pulses and seeds sprouting continuously now, so that I don't run out. I love them. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan though. I still eat meat, but not a huge amount. I remember my mother telling me over fifty years ago that beans on toast (a common cheap meal here in the UK) was highly nutritious because the protein in the beans worked with the bread to give you a perfect meal. It turns out she was right, according to this documentary. I felt very uncomfortable about seeing the endless fields of 'clean field' lentils in Canada. They use Roundup from Monsanto (now Bayer, I think), to kill everything else. That is horrific. It makes farmers reliant on the chemical industry for seeds. Once they are in, they can't get out. And it means that we are being sold products that probably contain traces of poison. I agreed with the Indian lady. It is much better to develop seeds naturally and to plant a variety of seeds so that if one fails, others will succeed. Note: most sprouts are not edible raw. Lentils are okay. Kidney beans especially, should be boiled hard for at least ten minutes.

I absolutely love lentils! I bought a large bag (5 lbs, I think) just as corona virus was taking hold of a lot of people. There’s a channel on You Tube called “Great Depression Cooking With Clara”. One of her recipes uses lentils. I made her recipe right after seeing her video and it was delicious! I experiment/modify it by adding a variety of veggies and spices. Lentils are dirt cheap, which is good for me. I lost my job a year ago but, just recently got another one. So, living like a Depression person turned out to be awesome! I limited my food budget to $25.00 a week. You’d be shocked at how well you can eat cooking with just staple foods like beans, rice, lentils and your imagination. I have an organic garden and organically-fed chickens (for eggs only) so, that stretches my food money, despite buying feed for them. I used to work with a woman who was originally from Dominican Republic. She gave me a recipe using beans and spices and herbs I already have. Total yumminess!

Add various whole grain millets bought in bulk to your diet. Par boiled rice lasts longer and fills you up faster and better for health but takes longer to cook. Use pressure cooker to cook lentils and par boiled rice or millets faster and with less fuel bills. Rice lentils millets etc can be stored for years without refrigeration if you can keep pests away from your stock. Oiled lentils can keep away bugs and store for longer. Learn to sprout the lentils, some can be eaten without cooking as salads or you can cook them. Either way more nutritious than without sprouting. Also learn to grow fast growing leafy vegetables and vegetables. Some grow in a month to harvest. Grow methi plants from methi seeds, they are healthy sauteed with some mild spices and garlic and onion etc, they grow in a month. Same for radish etc. Good luck in your frugal healthyl living. Best wishes. You can grow salads and leafy vegetables indoor all through the year. methi when grown outdoor will improve nitrogen content in your soil as it's a nitrogen fixer. After adopting a plant based lifestyle since January of this year, I am researching on high protein enriched plant foods that I can build my agribusiness around in my far remote island country. Lentils has been a go to protein source for caloric consumption, so learning how to grow it and versatility is why I find this documentary so fascinating. In agreement that lentils is the future food source due to it's high yielding crop return especially our island communities across the South Pacific.

AMEN! I was shocked to hear that Canada is shiiping such a huge volume of toxic lentils all over the world. Organic, clean??? BS, call them what they are, TOXIC TIME BOMBS AKA POISON!!!! I will have to start looking for a truly organic source of lentils. BEWARE, ALL OATS are sprayed with RU to desicate the crop for harvest so be cautious that you only buy CERTIFIED Organic Oats. I had to tell that to a health food store owner. He was not aware of it. I spent 5 years at the U of G BSc.(Agr.)Crops. Ontario Canada. While there I worked at the research farm and labs. I never thought transferring alfalfa embryos into test tubes would ever take off. voila R/U ready Alfalfa, the result!!! I am absolutely disgusted with the whole Agribusiness model these days. I buy as much as I can local and from growers I know. GROW YOUR OWN!!! Find a way. Indoors , Outdoors, share space with a neighbor, community gardens, support local Small growers in your community!!! We have destroyed GOD's beautiful creation!!! Someone will pay! GOD BLESS> Pray over every mouthful of food provided to you! Thank you Jesus!

@@elizdonovan5650 my husband makes the best lentils. I will tell you a recipe, but I don't know any measures, you'll have to eyeball everything. He boils brown lentils with finely chopped onion, garlic, a tomato and cilantro leaves. He also adds right from the beginning some olive oil, a bit of curcuma, some paprika, ginger powder, a bit of black pepper and a lot of cumin powder. No salt at the beginning, that prevents the lentils to soften properly. Cover them with water and let them boil. Check them from time to time and complete with more water if necessary. When the lentils are boiled you can add salt. Side note: I was never a fan of cilantro, but in lentils, and if you put it at the beginning, it's amazing. I suggest you to try it even if you don't normally enjoy it.

I swear after watching this video from start to finish, I am firmly convinced that the MEAT INDUSTRY’S days are numbered,it’s only a matter of time that people realize the dangers of meat and the awesome benefits of LENTILS. Today 15/03/2021 I am only 6 days into my new healthy lifestyle, that being VEGAN, I’m a 41 year old male that’s recently just seriously paid attention to a VEGAN LIFESTYLE and so far I AM LOVING EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS LIFESTYLE...I’ve always heard about the VEGAN way of living but out of laziness and ignorance scoffed at the idea of people stopping to eat meat, poultry, dairy, fizzy drinks. My journey started in March 2020 when out of a sedentary lifestyle I had put on so much weight(I was 40,5”7 in stature and weighed an obese 92KG)...I was never into gym stuff and was eating pretty much anything and everything. I took it upon myself to make a change to my body and I started running, took up cycling, walking, skipping, I did that everyday in the comfort of my house since Covid had hit my country so hard that we had to stay indoors and gyms were closed,so I got down to work...I incorporated my journey with Intermittent Fasting and the end results were beyond amazing,in one year(18 March 2020 to 18 March 2021) I had scorched a whopping 22KG and today I’m a very healthy a relatively fit man at 68KG. This was until 2 weeks ago when I met an old friend on the golf course and was shocked to see how thin and fit I’d become and likewise of his lean physique,I based my weight loss to intermittent fasting as well as eating relatively well even though I was eating bad food,I have a very sweet tooth and love chocolate, sweets,Ice cream and I’d binge on the stuff and as a result my weight yoyod a bit...but after my friend introduced me to Veganism and its great benefits I was hooked instantly, he directed me to watch THE GAME CHANGERS Doccie, introduced me to Dr Sebi as well as Ty’s Conscious Kitchen where I got to see healthy and very affordable vegan meals are prepared. He also taught me about the importance of knowing my blood type so I know what to eat and what to veer away from, introduced me to an Alkaline way of consuming food and drinks...in the past 6 days I haven’t touched meat, dairy, poultry, fizzy drinks, sweets, chips etc, basically all the bad shit,it hasnt been easy but I’m loving the challenge,in only 6 days I have learnt so much, with so much more to learn still. The funny thing is, Lentils have always been a part of my family’s staple food but i always discarded the food,my gran, mom and sis cooked these baby with so much regularity that it bored me stiff, and they make it in all sorts of ways, soups largely...since I am new to this Vegan Lifestyle, I was also skeptical to this lifestyle, the first concern was where am I gonna get Protein from if not from previously alive objects hence my appreciation for this video and what it has showed and taught me. I am grateful for the immense work that you guys have put behind this video, grateful to have reacquainted me with this awesome food,I’m now gonna stock up on these babies and eat them like candy,I’ve also read many comments here of people expressing their equal love and appreciation for Lentils, also asked for different recipes from people all over the world. A huge THANK YOU to the producers of this video, the world needed your likes,to wake us up from the choking lies of the Meat Industry...on my side,I’m gonna play my part by keeping on working out and eating healthily so that when people ask me how I did,To which I would then unabashedly tell folks about Plant Based Eating lifestyle...especially my cycling buddies,I really wanna shock them with my Vegan Body. Great work guys✌🏿🇿🇦👍🏿

Here is a quick red lentil daal recipe that my Pakistani friend Tabs taught me. It’s delicious and filling. I make this daal every week. 3 cups of red lentils 5 or more garlic cloves minced (I use 8) 1 tspn Kashmiri red chilli powder (mild) 1 tspn of turmeric 1 tspn of mixed spice (I use basaar mix) 3 tablespoons of veg oil Fresh coriander (handful) Salt - about 1/2 to 1 tspn) Black pepper 1/2 tspn - it activates turmeric Green chilli (optional) 3 tbsp butter/ghee 1. Wash, drain and put aside red lentils 2 Fry the garlic in the oil in the pan until it’s just turning but not burning 3. Add the spices and salt and fry for about 1-3 minutes to release the flavour on low heat. Add water or oil if they stick to the pan. 4. Stir in red lentils 5. Add water about 50% above height of lentils 6. Cook until lentils are soft and mushy - add more water to desired consistency. More water will mean more salt and extra mixed spice which you can add at the end. 7. Add green chillis (optional) 8. Turn off pan and add butter 9. Add coriander, mix and serve It’s so tasty. I hope someone enjoys this recipe as much as I do.

🙏🏽🌱 Wow - thank you for making such a thought provoking documentary on not only lentils, but future sustainability in cosmic cataclysm, rural farming, fighting poverty, nutritional content, seed eco activism, the detrimental effect of mass farming using herbicide, to not only seeds/nutrition but to villagers living in poverty and women's issues in farming. This was incredibly interesting and well assembled. I found it truly empowering on so many levels, thank you. 🙏🏽🌱 💝

You can sprout lentils. It's easy, gets rid of the ??? that you otherwise have to cook away. And it rises the amount if nutrients. Less meat consumption means less animal suffering. That's a good reason to cut EU subsidizes for the meat Industry. Pumping that money into subsidezes for legumes helps us to be more independent from genetically modified soy from all over the world.

So good to see Dr. Vandana Shiva in this doc. Damn, I highly respect her! She is a scientific leader in exposing the non-necessity and dark side of the GMO craze among agri-business and large scale corporate captured farmers. There are numerous bright lights among scientists, farmers (like Joel Saladen and others), ecologists that have been showing for years the non-necessity and dangers, both provable and potential, by continuing to drink the corporate (and mostly 'politico-scienentific') Kool-Aid of GMO crops.

I am a vegetarian but it concerned me a lot to hear lentils getting GMO treatment. Not sure what health impact it may create to the lentils eating folks specially poor folks who eat lentils a lot. Wished they would have found another way to save the lentils instead of GMO. Deradun PhD is right and hope people can understand her concerns which are very genuine. One thing I know now to never buy Canadian produced lentils. GMO altered only focus on yield but not individual health.
