Plant base whole food lifestyle changed my life 14 yrs ago. At sixty I had so much energy I started training and running marathons. Started CrossFit and competing in obstacle and desert races. Finishing in the top 15% . CrossFit comps in the 714 in the world in my age group. I’m now 71 and I get asked all the time my age and I consistently see the look in the eyes and the jaw drop. I have no wrinkles in my face . I have been able to maintain a weight of 143 at 5’6” . I move well , sleep well and love life.

@shadowman4966 wow - I wish I had your results. When I tried to go plant based, I gained so much weight! When you take out animal products, you have to replace them with something. That something is grains and beans. I don't know what i did wrong, if anything. What seems to work for me is a diet of both vegetables and some meat, easy on the grains. An important part of my diet is the careful selectiion of the animal products I eat - no grocery store meat or eggs. I buy only from a local farm where animals live outside during the warmer months, free to forage, to run around and to act like animals. I've visited the farm. I know that not everyone has that option. If I could go plant based without being overweight or pre-diabetic, I'd considered it. I really did give it a good effort, but I guess it's not for everybody.

You'll look better, have more clarity, lose weight, have more energy, be more full, no illusion feeling of having to want to eat. It's very difficult and different but worth it.. I'm just not used to it, I eat mostly plant based but trust me I notice the difference night and day. It's a very clean feeling it's hard to describe, I do eat meat here and there but I quickly remember why I want to stop it's just that I'm so used to it. You have to try it, it seems difficult but trust me I burn 1200 calories and still work out, when I ate dairy and protein bars and shakes I hated being bloated, you don't with vegan foods you just feel enough and clean which I'm not used to because I would always be hungry.. give it a try

22 sets of twins tried both vegan and meat diets. Researchers at Stanford University studied the twins' cardiovascular health. After eight weeks following their respective diets, the twin siblings who ate a vegan diet had lost more weight, reduced their LDL, or "bad" cholesterol, and experienced lower insulin levels, according to the study's findings. "The findings from this trial suggest that a healthy plant-based diet offers a significant protective cardiometabolic advantage compared with a healthy omnivorous diet," the study's authors wrote. The study, published Nov. 30 in the journal JAMA Network Open.

@ More than just LDL when vegan and carnivore swapped diets for 28 days: On the carnivore diet you are going to experience low energy after eating. You are going to experience constipation because you are not eating any fiber. Your insulin level will be nearly double on the carnivore diet. Cortisol level is a measure of how stressed the body is and it will go up on the carnivore diet. IGF-1 is a measure of cancer risk; IGF-1 will increase on the carnivore diet. C reactive protein is a measure of inflammation in the body; C reactive protein will increase on the carnivore diet. Testosterone gives males youth and vigor; your testosterone levels will plummet on the carnivore diet. LDL cholesterol is a health marker of risk of heart attack and stroke; LDL will go up on the carnivore diet.

I've been cutting out processed Vegan junk! I've always loved vegan "meats", cheeses and whatnot. If you turn the bag over and read all of the ingredients in Vegan foods. It is insane how processed Vegan foods are! I truly believe that we should be eating food given to Adam and Eve in the garden. Seed bearing plants!! all natural. No labels! Pure good food. I'm working on a high raw lifestyle! I'm already experiencing more energy. When I eat something cooked, I immediately notice a difference. Doctors are not looking after you. Take charge of your own health!!!!

So true! Man's original diet did not include flesh. After the Flood God permitted man to eat meat from the clean animal group for obvious reasons- the vegetation, plants, and trees were all destroyed in the flood. However, He expected us to revert to the original diet He gave us. But we do not like to leave anything we claim gives us 'pleasure' even when it is bad for us. This attitude is ruining/has ruined many.

The human body is such a complex thing. I had a serious heath issue which doctors could not solve for 15 years. I did the opposite of what Sally did and it worked for me. 6 months carnivore diet and I’m essentially cured. Not to mention I lost 55 lbs and have loads of energy Insane how everyone’s body reacts differently to different things.

I loved his line “It’s never too late to wake up and pay attention”. The happy meals are not making our bodies happy. But, they are making somebody’s bank account very happy. I believe that there are a lot of people in this country who are literally “banking” on the hope that we stay asleep and don’t notice how our desires, our resources and our lives are being manipulated.

@@PLANTBASEDNEWSGod gave us the food laws in Leviticus 11 of the clean and unclean meat to eat plus he made the ethnic people in Genesis 1:26 to have dominion over the fall of the air and the fish of the sea so they were hunters and Fishers first. Why did God create hunters and Fisher's first and he created a farmer Adam 2000 years later in Genesis 2:7. Well we just don't know but God did give us the first meat food laws in Leviticus 11 in Deuteronomy 14 of the clean and unclean meat to eat. Everybody's different some people can live on a vegetarian diet because if you Google can the human body digest plant cellulose the answer is no. I had a lot of problems in my twenties and thirties being a professional athlete my body kept breaking down and I was raised 7th Day Adventists to our vegetarians but I had to start eating meat to properly rebuild my body after competition and after injuries.

10:04 - craving candy/sweets is a detox/addiction breaking sign in my experience. I was an opioid addict (which is why I started a plant based diet because my liver and kidneys were failing) but when I quit opiods, I craved candy and I’m not a “sweets” person. Then when I went plant based and was detoxing from that, I craved sweets!! Now my sweets are fruits.🍉 🍏 🥝 🍌 🥭 🍇 🍈 But I believe it’s really a detoxing craving. Idk the science behind that but it was my experience every time I was detoxing from anything!! I’m 5 1/2 years opioid free and 5 years plant based. I haven’t needed a doctor in 5 years now and I reversed my liver and kidney failure!! I feel like I’m 27 and I’m 47. LOVE how I feel, and I LIVE seeing an elite athlete talk about plant based. Recovery time is minimal, energy is through the roof ect. Thank you Mr. Salley I appreciate you sharing your experience with the world. 🌱 💙

New Study released 08/20/2024. Regularly eating red (beef and pork) and processed meats in particular is associated with a higher risk of TYPE 2 DIABETES, according to an analysis of data from 31 study cohorts published Tuesday in the journal The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology. Researchers analyzed data from nearly 2 million people across 20 countries.

@georgewilson7808 These studies are often problematic. A red meat meal in such studies can consist of a beef patty, a sugary soda drink, starchy toxic oil-filled french fries, sugary sauces, and a highly processed wheat bun. Is the beef a problem in this meal? I think not!

@@jays7318 Not this study. They ate the same diet and calories except for the meat in one diet. Twin study Addendum: The telomere caps measured longer in the vegan group and shorter in the meat group suggesting the meat eaters were aging faster.. Additionally, the Epigenetic Biological clocks showed the vegan group was aging more slowly and the meat group was aging more quickly.

Heres how Mad Cow Disease developed. How did BSE develop in cows? Feed contamination Cows became infected by eating feed that contained prions from other cows or sheep that were sick with BSE. Meat-and-bone meal The primary source of BSE in cattle was meat-and-bone meal that was contaminated with prions. Rendering process A change in the rendering process in the late 1970s may have allowed the prions to survive.

Now I do i mixture of plant and 100% grass fed carnivore. I take the top of the top from each. We also forget that we are more bacteria and that our microbiota has more say on our cellular production, repair, mitochondria so looked into fermented foods so now my lifestyle is mixture of plant based, carnivore and fermented foods like kombucha kimchi sauerkraut honey fermented foods and especially kefir from raw milk.

I stopped eating 🍔 hamburgers in 1992. Denzel Washington gave a speech to all the students at Howard University on his special diet for the movie he was doing it was plant based. That same night I ate my last burger. I didn’t go vegan, I went Vegetarian. I had acne so bad up until Covid. I researched chemicals in popcorn 🍿 went vegan after watchig Earthlings. I cried for 😢2 Hours of my ignorance. That was during our Shutdown. He is so on it. Whole Foods plant diet is the medicine. Some need medication but many don’t need it. Sad😢Sad! My people will perish for lack of knowledge, but it also says “Let no one judge you by what you eat or drink.” Once I saw that in the Bible I left my people alone. I walk by example. I just started telling stories. My burger 🍔 story will be next on my KZbin. It’s like someone is listening to my conversations. This is great stuff. He speaks eloquently. Thanks for sharing. 😊

Everybody is different. There are some people whos medical issues went away when they switched to all meat diet. In other cases there were people whos health improved when they switched to vegan diets. Others improved their health when they balanced their diet with both vegtable and meat diet with removal of processed food and removal of foods with added sugar. People have to find the diet that works for them. Its not a one diet fits all situation.

I'm a plant based eater. But everyone doesn't have to follow whole food plant based to be healthy and lie long and healthy. I eat Fish eggs and some chicken n occasion. But mostly plant based. By the way Jesus wasn't a vegetarian. He ate fish and lambchops by the way. So you don't have to make being a vegetarian a religion even though i do believe in the health benefits. But it's more than just not eating meat or viseversa.
