Mushroom Alfredo is a creamy, rich, and irresistible pasta dish where sautéed mushrooms meet a velvety homemade Alfredo sauce.
You can make this recipe with dairy or non-dairy ingredients in 15 minutes for an easy and satisfying dinner.
⭐️ Ingredients
12 ounces fettuccine or tagliatelle
1 pound mushrooms white, brown, portobello
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
2 twists of black pepper
3 tablespoons unsalted butter or non-dairy butter
2 cloves garlic grated
1 cup heavy cream or non-dairy cream
½ cup grated parmesan or non-dairy cheese
1 sprinkle grated nutmeg or grated lemon zest
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped

The creamy mushroom sauce at Olive Garden is spectacular. I have been trying to replicate it at home, and I think I'm getting close, but I always cheat and use cream of mushroom soup.

I made authentic Italian Alfredo with mushroom yesterday, this doesn’t look anywhere near like Italian. It’s good, but just your comment on “looks Italian” is objectively wrong

Well, I wouldn’t say that it’s Alfredo sauce, because Alfredo sauce is just a ton cheese & butter, without the cream, but of course as a plant-based alternative the fat part of coconut cream can be used instead of butter, or just use vegan butter & more vegan cheese. The recipe is still amazing though!! You can call it creamy mushroom pasta)

È davvero ridicolo quando gli americani a questi piatti che fanno loro, lasciano poi il nome “Alfredo”. Io mi chiedo, visto che col piatto dello chef Alfredo, del ristorante Alfredo di Roma, non hanno niente a che fare, perché non mettono semplicemente un loro nome, un qualsiasi altro nome ? Se agli americani piace fare piatti completamente diversi da quelli originali (indipendentemente da quale Paesi provengono) non ci sono problemi ….. basta semplicemente cambiare il nome. È molto semplice ! Ma per favore lasciate stare i nomi originali di certi piatti.
