Have a group of 12 I’ve had for about a month. Curious when you first started to see the color transition in the first male?

Once they reached around 2.5-3 inches the dominant males started to turn blue Good luck 👍

Super basic one… What rock is that and where did you buy it? I have a Rio 180 and setting it up for cichlids this weekend and I love the look of the rock scape!

Sorry for the late reply. The rock is normal slate pieces normally used for landscaping, it ends up being a lot cheaper than from an aquarium shop. You just need to make sure you get an inert rock type 👍. Hope that helps, good luck with your RIO 180

Any other tropical fish of rusty/ yellow labs u could keep in a 125?
@MakoyUnggoy Жыл бұрын
If your tank was 36 wide, 24 deep and 18 front to back then it would be just under 255 lites and not 180. The fish are in great condition though and are the perfect size in that set up, I might have to look further into getting myself some of these!

Would you say your fry are born yellow or do they turn yellow in time? Love my Saulosi but my fry don’t seem to be showing any yellow

I find they are yellow straight away. It might be your lighting or substrate colour which is affecting their colouration. They can grey out if kept on a dark substrate or in a dimly lit tank. Hope that helps! I wouldn't worry too much though, the main thing is that they are happy and healthy. They'll colour up soon enough 😁
