Is it possible for air bubbles go straight upward and can fully dissolve in water? I am using aquario neo co2 and air diffuser.. Pls reply..
@urbansk8r231 Жыл бұрын
Hello I need your advice before i set up the aquario neo flow premium lilypipes v2 M on my 60p. I'll first mention my current setup and why i want to change to neo flow lilly pipes. I also want to ask a question or two. I have a lid on my bedroom aquarium, because i have fish in with my shrimp. One of the fish are jumpers- clown killifish. So the manufacture cut outs for lliypipes, heater cord are at the back. ● My setup: ehiem classic 250 canister filter. with spray bar on left of tank. So water moves from left to right( like river) to heater. Inlet on back next to outlet. I use co2 art inline diffuser. so pressurised co2 comes out spray bar. So i have a med/high light planted tank. Why i want to change: A few months ago i messeged the late aqua scaper Filipe Oliveira ( RIP) Asked him how he gets his plants so red. I mentioned my setup, and he adviced me to get lilly pipes. He said using the spraybar with inline co2 is no good because spraybar creates a verticle rotation. I thought the opposite ( horizontal rotation) But he is the master... so that's why i purchased lilly pipes. ● Here are my questions: ●Q1 on the aquario website, they refer to the attachnent on the end of outflow as a "shoe" about shoe- ■won't shrimp climb in there? cause i have shrimp crawl all over spraybar. So i purchased reliever with guards. ● I would like to use shoe or take off one of guards to direct flow, because i imagine reliever with guards would restrict flow, and not reach heater, plant ect. ●Q2 Because of lid i can't hookup lilly pipes on left of tank ( like you demonstrated in video) so only on back where manufacture cut outs are. ■So how can I hook up my lilly pipes to still get the left- right horizontal flow? ●Q3 ■What's the difference between shoe and reliever besides guard attachment? Sorry for long message. Hope to here from you. Thanks for the video. We lost a great person in the aquascape hobby.

Hey Tommy! new aquascaper here dragging my feet getting my 1st scape wet. anyway what about a cube-ish ( 60x50x45 ) tank. i was planning to put the in/out flow on the back side of the tank. would this work? It could work, we had tanks where we put the filter in- and outlets on the back wall. That was because of the hardscape placement. But i found that it is less obstructing visually to have them on the side.

@willparsons3210 ай бұрын
What if you have a bowfront aquarium? The spray bar that I have is positioned on the back glass panel facing slightly upwards and is aprox. 3/4 the length of the tank. As I hear you say; the spray bar should only be about an inch (2.5 cm) from the surface of the water column. Because the filter is a 1300 Lph (850 gph) the stream of water that comes from the spray bar is quite intense. Would you suggest I drill out the pre-drilled holes to a larger size? Perhaps twice the size as they originally were, or bigger? Would I be better off attaching the spray bar at the end like you suggested? -- keeping in mind that the tank is a bowfront and therefore not square to the spray bar.
@GreenAquaShop10 ай бұрын
I would place the spray bar on the side of the tank if I could. It provides a more uniform flow. And yes, I would probably drill bigger holes to have less jet-like flow. The surface should move but not break. Ultimately though, I would move to change it to a lily pipe for more uniform water distribution.

@GreenAquaShop8 ай бұрын
We showcase all kinds of equipment for tanks, and we almost invariably have CO2.
@CR6046 ай бұрын
Doesn't even seem like that tank would need co2 lol. Is that just moss? Or some carpeting plant?
@GreenAquaShop6 ай бұрын
Some plants can grow without CO2. But the goal is different here. To show off the plant in its best form. And that one is not doable without CO2 + ferts and additional light. Some mosses are low demanding, but wait til you give them some extra and see the beautiful transformation from the pale/brownish, rare looking moss to a vivid grean compact and bushy version of it.

For smaller aquariums under 45cm in width, the spin is a great option. It will not harm the CO2 distribution, but you may need to increase the injection rate a bit.

@perrywhitledge4005 Жыл бұрын
Probably because there would be a lot of agitation going through the filter and a good part of the CO2 would be lost instead of being in the tank before it goes through the filter and is used by the plants while the concentration of it is still high. Just a guess, maybe he’ll answer it.

I am upgrading my tank, and have commissioned a 90p. I am going to be running 2 biomaster 350's on it. One thing, that is going to be quite dependent on the scape I make, but I'm still unsure of, is should I have all 4 pipes on the one side, or should I set them up like you do in 120p+ tanks? I'm not really sure which would be best. On one hand, I feel like a 90p is a little short to have apposing outlets, but on the other, I know there's going to be alot of hardscape, and I will want to ensure I have proper circulation.
