I have followed this plan for 2 weeks . I not only feel better but have lost 4 pounds. Being 65 years old losing weight has become more difficult than when I was younger. This way of eating is so much better for your heart and brain as well. Thank you for making these videos for those of us who are new to a plant based way of eating. 👍

Love your tip on sauteing vegetables in water. I just season them and they're great! Don't miss the oil at all. We have one slice of toast and split an avocado. But, we practice intermittent fasting. We are both almost 60, it just works better at our age. Haven't really lost a lot of weight (125-130 max), but my stomach is not as bloated, and my digestion is much better. I'm currently cast in a play along side younger women. I have form-fitting costumes, I feel very comfortable in them! My stage husband is 29! 😳Thank you for all your tips and recipes! 😍

Would love a video on how you STAY on this program. Processed food seems to creep in. Then, over time, weight starts creeping on. It’s like our culture just wants to get you back to that addictive food! I lost 25 lbs then, feeling great, relaxed my focus and 10 crept back on! I was 10 lbs from my goal! Need inspiration for a reset or a refocusing. ❤️

Remember your “why” and every time you come across something that’s not on plan ask yourself is this going to help me with my goal or hinder it, can I make this more processed meal or snack a healthier way. Just some things I do and try to tell myself. I’m Definitely not perfect, the biggest thing is to just keep going, don’t let one processed meal stop you! Just be as consistent as possible.

Oh my gossshh me too! I was so good for several years...and now I’m just feeling frustrated with these last 6 -8 pounds!!!! I was able to stay focused on eating healthy and exercising...I’m not sure what happened!! Our culture definitely wants us to get back to the addictive food. Jenny, you and I started about the same time-September 2020. You and I both have lost about the same, I haven’t checked my weight in over a month. I started at 189 lbs and I would like to get down to 130 lbs. My weight hasn’t moved in a while because I’ve been eating homemade granola and muffins. This video from Kiki is the “kick in the butt” I need to get back on track. I had hoped by now I would have lost 35 pounds but I have been regularly eating nuts, dried fruit, and whole grain breads. Another good resource is, “High Carb Hannah.” I often binge-watch Kiki and Hannah’s videos for inspiration and recipe ideas. Wish you success on your weight loss.🕊

I may be wrong here, Kiki, please weigh in on this, but I followed the starch solution and ate very low fat for the first 4 months of the start of my vegan journey (which I’m so thrilled to say will be a life long decision for me) I lost 25 lbs, then as I introduced more fats like avocado, flax meal, and added cashews in my cheese sauce, a little more pasta, crackers, that rolled into vegan butter and processed vegan products and before I knew it I was dipping avocado sushi in a siracha vegan Mayo mix! It was definitely a slippery slope!

Go slow and adjust to this new way of eating because our bodies are so used to the standard American diet. Your body and your cravings will adjust. Also, make sure you aren't sneaking in any added fats (I.e. Oils you werent seeing like in prepared foods, nuts, nut butters, avocados). Also, be diligent about that 50/50 plate. Agree with you. All this fake smiling and sexy poses to show a dish, feels so fake and not genuine anymore. That was what I loved about her before and now it's all comercial and shiwing off poses.. feels not rral anymore. Such a shame.. all heroes fall lately

I struggle with weakness when eating this way. Any advice? I’m eating oatmeal with lots of fruit in the morning with a tablespoon of chia seeds. Lunch is half greens half starch. Dinner is some fruit as I’m not hungry enough to quite eat something else

Thank you for the reminder about oil. Texas

One of my pet peeves is when someone posts a video about "oil free plant based dressings" and the recipe has TAHINI in it.... like, okay technically its not called 'oil' but tahini is one of the worst things you can eat for weight loss. Thank you Kiki for this useful info.
@melaniej.roberts2063 жыл бұрын
YES!! I went looking for oil free tahini and there's no such thing. There are just no EXTRA oils added
@omalleysmith91003 жыл бұрын
@@melaniej.roberts206 Yeah, the sesame seeds its made from are SO calorie dense and loaded with fat too. Oh well, glad there are other options. :)

Thank you. I will surely read this starch solution book. The starch intake scares me due to my type2 diabetes issue. I have been putting olive oil in everything I cook. I am also 5’1” at 200 lbs, HBP, type2 diabetes.
