Planting a Lotus Bed

Thanks for such a thorough demonstration of how to do this! Since I have a small sun-filled patio off my bedroom/ office windows where I can see the outdoors, a small plastic nursery- grade container hold the lotus container easily. I can sit with my lotus pond and enjoy the lotus colors with a few other contained water plants as well as a few fish which is all so zen - it is also my home yoga practice and meditation space inside so imagine how it creates a perfect place to have these blooming beside me!

I have a pond in our back yard with absolutley no habitat for quatic life.....we have several species of fresh water fish and turtles. Is there a good way to plant these lotus plants and let nature take it's course, if I use this method for structure in creating a healthy enviroment for oue fish. I live in Charleston SC and it gets pretty humid in the summer, and usually we have mild winters with occasional frost. When would be the best time to plant? Thank for any help you can give me.

When the seeds have sprouted, and have that long stem, can you plant them with the rest? Also how do you get them to sprout then long stem? Plant them in heavy soil with warm water and leave them in the sun for 8 hours daily?

All east coast Natives used it as their primary starch. Lotus eaters are all related world wide. Grass eaters and lotus eaters were genetically isolated from each other. All you Irish native Americans are prob deficient in special nutrients. Could be the reason for bi polar. It is also a euphorant, one of only 5. Egypt means lotus eaters.

I, as a medicine woman and genetic behaviorist , ( ethologist + genetics) believe lotus eaters who stop eating lotus become depressed. Three types of man: 1)banana/ yam, 2)lotus/squash/bean 3) grass grain. Look at maps of distribution of these foods, then look at cultural map overlays. Eat like your subspecies and thrive.

Love it all, pls use rubber gloves that would be cleaner and do plant the tubers in dry soil before making mud, it will be much cleaner, madam
