One thing that I really like is that even though this is a huge space to fill it still gives me ideas for smaller pockets in my own normal sized yard. Each area of the south garden seems to have its own identity while still having far off views that add to the layers and brings it all together. Totally enjoy seeing this area become something amazing.

I fell the same way. Im looking at her videos and I will say; Oh, I will put a bench there! or Maybe some tree trunks different heights, forming a sitting area in that corner where the hydrangeas are. Yesterday I wrote to her telling her to build in front of that nook she has ,where she wants to make her secret garden in the south garden, to build her pond. 😱 😅 All along inside that whole area . Like a river with paths and bridges. I can't help it! 😂

The south garden is turning into a gorgeous oasis. Love seeing all you build it up layer by layer. When I think back to what you started with 2 seasons ago, I'm blown away with the amount of change. I remember it was just the cut flower garden and raw field the first season you owned the property. Look at it all now.

82% humidity & temp is rising from (currently) 70° to 88° as the day progresses in Boston area today. (Who DiDNT do a weather app compare when Laura showed & talked about hers? 🤣) Ive got 20 plants in my stash & 1/2 dozen arriving today. Perhaps I’ll be digging & deep watering holes only…holding off on planting til very late or tomorrow. Choices choices…clearly I’ll sacrifice myself before I stress out my plants!

I need that tiny quick fire hydrangea in our tiny little space!!! Can’t wait to get some! And of course I love a rose of Sharon, and ANYTHING that has blue flowers. So I am here for all of these!! It’s no wonder you forget from one year to the next what all you planted. By the time you plant 100’s and 100’s of things. (1000’s if you count all the bulbs). BTW, beautiful choice in music on this one! 💚💚💚👋👋👋

I remember how excited I was when you planted those hydrangeas in the corner. I knew that it was the beginning to so much more.. and it truly was! I would love to see a one year recap condensed down to one video of all you have done since then. From a bare white patch of scrub and dust to an almost park-like setting in this short amount of time is mind blowing. Congratulations to you both and Paul too.

Oh Laura, you are going to LOVE the Vitex. In my Zone 6 my vitex is now year 3 and never stops blooming spring thru fall. Tons of pollinators flock to it and I don't deadhead it as finches gather seeds from spent flowerheads. Hope this helps others consider this amazing small tree/large shrub. ❤️

My vitex does not die back. It loses it's leaves but is now an 8' multi branch tree. Year 3 planted from 15 gal that was less than 3' tall when it went in ground. AZ high desert here so we get blazing hot and moderately cold, lots of wind also.

❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕Have you ever thought about setting up a play area for the kids under the willow tree? (By the raised bed garden). If they play there when you are in the green house anyway. Give them a kiddie size picnic table or even pour a concrete race track for their little cars. Also, the back north garden. You could make that the family fun area. You don’t want a pool. But, what about a small splash pad. No danger of drowning and can use also for hard surface like hopscotch and sidewalk chalk. Love your sweet family. Keep up the great work. ❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕

Hi Laura (and Aaron)! As I’m watching my daily dose of GA, I am getting extra curious about your supply of plants that you keep in the greenhouse or anywhere else for that matter! That would be a cool video to see the behind the scene of just how many plants you order and get delivered (by truck I’m assuming!) and how you organize and keep them watered, etc. Many of us home gardeners sometimes impulse buy (or am I alone?) and it’d be awesome to see what/how you keep everything good and ready to go!! TIA (love my morning coffee with GA!)

Good morning Laura! Not going to humidity shame you but had to laugh. N.C. humidity 90% today! I am having humidity envy right now! But on the other hand we only hit 100 a couple of times this summer and I am grateful!!! Your garden is so awesome. I wish you would have Aaron do the a blank slate look from early last year on different areas and then do a now shot. SO AMAZING! Hugs from N.C..❤️

Those hydrangea are just cute as can be. I like that they are smaller and can't wait to get my hands on some

So. California here and we are having humidity along with high temps (up to 99 degrees) this summer. Today: 91 degrees with 48% humidity! I was out hand watering this morning around 8 a.m. and was dripping by the time I went indoors! I'd say that sounds like a little bit of climate change since we are considered a desert. Whoever heard of a desert having humidity? LOL. You are really dedicated (and brave) to be out there filming for us in the heat and humidity! I can see that you are passionate about what you do and that's what makes it enjoyable, along with so many other factors, like Aaron, Benjamin, Samantha Rose, your mom, Cheddar, Russell, your helpers, etc. and your beautiful garden! Thanks so much for sharing with us!

Love the music while you’re planting…I guess you could say that “ you’re romancing the ordinary “. So exciting to watch the process on the south garden…and it’s great that we all are along for the ride. Bravo

Oh babyyyy, I wish you could feel what it's like here in northern Florida 😂 we went on vacation to south Florida this year and it was LESS humid down there and the temperature was LOWER. I walk outside into what feels like a invisible cloud with moisture all over me. I was born and raised here so I've adapted too it, and honestly haven't been anywhere that isn't humid in my lifetime yet so it would be so interesting for us to switch spots for a day🤣💜

You should interview Proven Winner, or visit their home office to see how they come up with all the different varieties.

I absolutely love how you do the mini tours of the areas you plant. It is great to see the companion plants of the new planting and to see the progress of previous plantings! Everytime you do that I am able to slowly connect the dots and find new plants for my garden! Big thank you!!!

It is so interesting when I see you planting a Rose of Sharon because in our area if you plant one you have to plan for 50. Different areas produce so differently. You are so wonderful in being inclusive with your information. Thanks

The Vitex Chaste tree is a Texas favorite. I’m 65 years old, and the ranch I grew up on had one in the yard. It was my climbing tree.😊 Hummingbirds & butterflies love them. I’ve started saplings from the seeds, and we plan on making a living fence of Vitex, Crape Myrtles, and Texas Sage because they are freeze hardy & heat tolerant.
