Our planting schedule is almost exactly the same🥰 In 1994 I worked daily watering huge pine trees helicopter in while waiting for the sprinkler system to be put into a gated community my husband was contractor for; I ended up getting to plant all the perennials around rock waterfall ponds with the big colorful Sequoia fish😃 it was the most beautiful, wonderful, peaceful, job I've ever had❣️ Now I have the opportunity to put in my own pine trees and perennials Sooooo I'm Loving your ideas❣️ Especially the clean natural advices in gardening and cooking💖

You have so much energy! Good choices to for the bed. I was hoping you would say something about the arborvitae. So many have died this year from it being so dry. Can’t wait to see what you do with them. Thanks 😊

Kaleb, those plants also look fabulous in half wine barrels if you could find some real ones. That would be gorgeous!!

We have 2 seasons here in Michigan nowadays, winter and summer. I tried some Medusa allium cuz they were out of millennium and liked it better. Happy accident.

My two favorite go-to’s, catmint and Russian Sage, in my veggie and flower gardens and all my pots! So reliable and beautiful! 🐝🐝🐝. Last summer I found pots of Russian Sage with 4 plants in each pot on clearance for $7, so I ended up with 16 straggly plants. They looked pathetic but they are coming back like champs this spring! I think it is my all-time favorite. I put big galvanized stock tanks in the middle of my veggie beds and pile them full of catmint and Russian Sage for the bees and butterflies. 💜💜. Please do an update when all these are blooming!! ☺️

Your lawn is beautiful. It is so sad to see all the arbs that didn’t make it through the winter, we lost 35 of our 38 that we had planted trying to grow as a windbreak. 😢

Your poor hedge of arbs… that’s a lot of damage and cost to replace. Would you replace with the same?

Haha! Crossing my fingers that they flush out new growth, but they may be. Weirdly, in my area, this happened to so many of this variety this past winter.
