You sure are giving me the itch to get to the garden center and planting! I’ve learned so much from you over the course of the 8-10 months I’ve been watching you! I will definitely be planting more daffodil bulbs come fall for that early spring pop of color and something the deer will leave alone. I had beautiful containers of pansies and violas on my front porch and the deer have destroyed them…lesson (one of many) learned!

Hi Laura. I am learning so much from all of your videos. Every time I look at a new plant I immediately searched to see anything you may have to say on it! Hellebores are my favorite but unfortunately my entire yard is full sun. I started experimenting with them last winter. I finally found a way to make them work in full sun! I thought you might enjoy how that went. This is their second year blooming in late February here in zone 7B. What I did was planted, wandering Jew, in a large drift, mixed in with the hellebores. By the time the summer sun becomes too harsh for them, the wandering Jew are protecting them from the heat and giving them shade. My blooms lasted until June last year when I cut them down still had the beautiful flower which has lasted all winter long and now our prolific. I’m so excited to have found a way to make them work. Also, the silvery green foliage looks so beautiful with the deep green, Thanks for all of your insight in my gardening endeavors!

Yikes, we had a late one last year too. It wreaked havoc. This year, I hope to offset any damage. Here in France and more locally the Paris suburbs, we're expecting 3-4 nights of freezing temps and possible snow! My huge Wisteria has 4-5" buds and some have started blooming 😕😬. I'm going out later today and will cover it, hoping I'll be able to remove the row cover fabric after without damaging too many buds. I hate late frosts! Our last frost date is May 12.
