Regarding the shovel: I noticed that it had a handle attached. More than 60 years ago, my dad warned me about such nefarious devices. "Beware of anything with a handle. That means there's work attached." In the intervening decades, I've learned he was right. First the tractor then the excavator were excellent choices to avoid that handle thingy. Yes I know those handles to but there were motors to do the work. That makes them playtoys, not work.

“If you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong.” I have an old craftsman lawn tractor that I’ve cut, welded, and fiddle farted a 3 point hitch on the back and snow blade on the front. It takes me about an hour to plow snow around my house and another hour to get a couple of my neighbors plowed out. My other neighbor laughs at me because his little snow blower gets his driveway clear in about 15 minutes. I don’t care if I waste a couple hours, I had way more fun. And my son has a blast bouncing around on “dadda’s tractor” with me. For the record, I have 2 operational snowblowers as well. It just ain’t fun though.

Totally off subject, but there's a junkyard right next to the highway, up on 70 as you go through Organ, NM. I drive by there every day, and drool at the tasty looking old Jeep carcasses. If you haven't yet, you should go check it out.

I do seem to collect stuff... The little train was built by my Dad and I years ago, I did some fixing on it when I first started doing videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqeQlmN5q6-Febs The little red '32 Ford style go-kart is going to be retired to shop art duties, both of my kids have outgrown it now. I finished it up in another early video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIW5cqZ6ntynZpI The two seat go-kart and ATV frame in front of it are an upcoming project, going to make a full size Mario Kart that can handle jumps (I hope)...

You can add more weight for free by fitting water valves and simply filling the rear tyres with water instead of air. Remember to add anti freeze if your winters go below freezing.

You have a considerable amount of cylinder testosterone. I kinda like that home made garden tractor you built. I found a workhorse 84 GT1100 in the garbage in Florida, the Briggs had Zero compression so I swapped it with a Honda13HP that I bartered for man I use the hell out of the thing Im collecting things to make a hydraulic auger for it, but Its hard to collect things here in the ozarks no one throws re-servicable stuff alway like they do in Fl.
@LowBuckGarage2 жыл бұрын
If you don't have a hydraulic pump already, a cheap source is power steering pumps. For running a hydraulic motor, any one will do. They also have remote reservoir ones that you can plumb to a big tank if you need more fluid to run cylinders.

@@a.h.2276 Clean any dirt off as soon as you're done digging. Never leave moist dirt on the tool, long enough to dry out. Then used motor oil, WD40, or fluid film on the tool when you put it away.

@ruben_balea2 жыл бұрын
I don't think that even with a short-circuited starter you could have so much voltage drop in the cables, in that case you would have it in the battery posts. If that ring terminal bolted to the chassis -is- *was* made of tin plated or copper plated steel I wouldn't trust it anymore, once the plating is gone the connections between the rusty steel terminal and the rusty copper wire and the connections of the rusty steel terminal and the rusty tractor chassis may be somewhat compromised.

I struggle with your approach. Part of me loves the humor and the way you approach solving problems, while part of me rails against you not fully fixing any given issue and simply going so far as to 'make it good enough' from a repair perspective. If you were doing work for me and getting paid, I would want it done completely and correctly with quality parts. Reuse of junk to me just leaves you with junk. There is professional quality and there is simply doing stuff as cheaply as possible with what you have. I like watching your inventiveness, but would never hire you. to do any work for me.
