Question. The dial that dictates how long air flows after you release the trigger? If I'm cutting an AC compressor open, how many seconds should it blow air after I release the trigger?

With TIG the gas flow after the arc extinguishes is called POSTFLOW. The amount of flow is set on the machine. Many machines have different type of dials but the numbers on the dial represent postflow in seconds.

I’m about to buy one but dose the air from the air compressor have to be completely dry ?? And if so can you do this to a air compressor or do you have to buy an air compressor that uses dry air ??

Clean dry air is always the best, dirty air is hard on equipment, this can be remedied with a moisture/partial filtration system. Plasmas do need good air.

What shade do you need for plasma cutting?

If you have a hood set it to 6 and if it's too bright adjust higher. I see guys use shade 4 but I value my eyes and would rather go a little darker. I use an auto darkening miller digital hood so I have different settings for each mode

So is this the setup and operation for all plasma cutters? Do any of them use gas or is all of them just ran off Electric and air, ? no gas needed

some have buildin air compressor, for thin metal cutting, mostly automotive

Many first time users don't have nearly the set up you have, and aren't using 220. When I saw you hook up to your outlet I knew watching the rest of the video was not going to be useful for me.

There are many plasma cutters available that can run on 120V.
