I upgrade my welding table with a plasma cutter, it simply and a lot makes the job easier, with a tub that collects dust that is created during cutting.

Congratulations on your idea and construction, I really like it and would like to copy it! Please, is the depth of the boat satisfactory? or should it be a little more? You got TIG and using silicon? Weld around with low current and will be sealed forever. Also you could ad valve in bottom to easy drain water.

I guess it's cheaper to use silicone. A 4ft weld would use a fair bit of argon. Plus it's quite tricky not blowing holes in that thin stuff, especially when welding to the thicker angle iron. Is it really worth the effort?

All everyone does on You Tube anymore is copy other peoples work & take credit as their own. It would be nice is someone had an original thought & actually made their own welding table instead of just copying homesteadonomics welding table build video with 1,743,827 views & the plans he provides for free to build it!
