A look at 2 different plasma TV'S for precious metals, copper, aluminum, insulated copper wire, and scrap metal! Something to look for if obtaining items for noble metals recovery is not easy without paying for items for recovery and some scrap yard metals to put some cash in your pocket in the process.

Did Dale from "King of the Hill" become a metal scrapping KZbinr!? JK man, hey thanks for the info. I found a giant plasma TV by the dumpster and something told me to take it home a scrap it. From the looks of it I made a pretty good decision. If you could make a guide for people like me. One that shows images of what's valuable and what's not. And what should be left into and what is okay to break apart, that would be extremely helpful!

Hey ,..look up pyrolosis..all that discarded plastic is long chain hydrocarbons🙂.. Still tryin to figure out who wants the clean stripped fiberglass boards to make??

This is mainly for people who have to pay for material but, you can also sell the boards in a grading system at some scrap yards. Mainly for those who just do it as a hobby but there is money to be made just reclaiming boards. Some like to melt copper and aluminum for ingots or other. You can sell the ingots for roughly 10 times scrap price. If you have the facilities in your area the plastic can be recycled but there is very little plastic on them and better to recycle than to let it all go to the landfill. Wouldn't you agree? I'm curious about pyrolosis. Could you share a brief description for all to read. Many will not take the time to look it up and if you already know i'm sure we would all like to know. I sure would. OK you passed up all the ceramic capacitors they have precious metals those chips on the extruded all have silver some have gold , there was soooo much gold silver and Palladium you missed

MLCC's are monolithic ceramic capcitors, the second recovery item I mention as far oble metals are concerned but thanks watching and the feedback. I miss things from time to time so all hel is aprecited. Thanks

Is there any Copper or gold inside the lcd screen. Inside the glas/plastic layers? Around the edge

Sometimes around the edge you'll find a little gold where the ribbon wire is/was attached to the screen. As far as the liquid crystal screen I can't honestly answer but if I had to guess I'd say no. Thanks

You get It from mlcc's if you're lucky. By lucky I mean magnetic mlcc's don't contain palladium but non-magnetic mlcc's do contain palladium. Lay them out in one flat layer and run a magnet over them. I would repeat that after you separate them the first time to make sure you didn't accidentally pick up any non-magnetic mlcc's on the first pass. With palladium hovering around$3000 an ounce you would want to get every single one you can. Older stuff is more likely to contain palladium. 2 years ago it was hovering between $800 and$900 an ounce then the largest mine in the world shut down in Africa and it went through the roof in a matter of weeks. Wish I would have gotten some of it then from billion dealer's. I never thought it would more than triple in value that quickly.
