The new type has a more natural bronze/gold metallic look. The old type is a brighter yellow/gold. Personally I think the new bronzish(bright Gold) is a much more classy appearance that will look better on a large variety of vehicles.

Standard Gold for me. What about problems with the lug nut contact? If I do the wheel off or on the car I'm worried that the edge of the lug contact will peel quickly. Thanks in advance for your reply as I am ready to give this a try.

I used 2 cans on top of 4-5 layers of black plastidip and mine didnt come out "gold". They look more like a slightly shiny gold/green. Not the look i was going for but they are back up wheels so they will do.

So I bought the kit and put them on couple days ago! After 3-4 coats of black base and 2 coats of Gold Metalizer on each rim, the gold didn't come out as gold as I thought. Also after the Gold Metalizer coats and let them cured, the surface is still tacky. Did I do anything wrong in the process?
