Hi there. It’s Jennifer and today we are going to talk about (and DEMO) how to apply a chemical peel on the eye area SAFELY.
The most commonly used acid to get dramatic changes on the eye area is TCA.
If you are looking to tighten up loose skin, minimize crow’s feet, lighten pigmentation and increase the general firmness of the eye area, than a Peel may be just what you need.
First things first. Warnings and recommendations.
If you are prone to fever blisters, pretreat that with a prescription prior to performing any peel.
If you are dealing with sun damage or have a naturally darker skin tone, pretreat the area with Fade Bright for 2 weeks prior to performing a peel.
Keep a bottle of Saline eye wash handy in case solution gets into your eye. *Now, this won’t happen if you follow the directions we give you, but always be prepared.
Last one - ONLY do this peel 1x per month. The skin on the eye area is thinner and we need to be gentler with our treatments.
And now the FUN part. Let me Walk you through the process and demonstrate the application.
And remember --- you DON”T have to do your entire eye area as I am going to demonstrate. If you only have a small area you want to work on - that is fine. Apply only where you need.
Follow our video as we walk you step by step to perform this amazing peel at home.
If you have our EYE PEEL Kit you can now apply 1-2 drops of our 35% Matrixyl Synthe’6 Complex to stimulate more collagen growth.
And then, a tiny dab of Luminosity to get deep penetration of Vitamin A.
You may follow this with Emu oil or our Essentials Healing Blend if you wish for more hydration.
If you do not have our Eye Peel Kit, then apply a healing oil to your eye area.
Now, we are complete, so here is what to expect next.
Your eyes MAY possibly swell a bit if you are very sensitive. If that happens a cool compress is exactly what you need. An anti-inflammatory oil such as Emu oil would also be very helpful.
Over the course of the next few days your eye area will become dry - it could possibly become darker too - which is the dead skin getting ready to come off.
Keep your eye area hydrated.
You generally won’t see “peeling” flakes of the skin - but you will definitely see how dry the eye area is. When you wash with a cloth, be gentle as you wipe across the eyes. In about 7 days time average - you will notice that all the dead skin is gone and your eyes will be very smooth.
You may even notice that they look better already - but generally it will take a bit of time.
TCA has been shown to continually stimulate collagen in the skin for up to 8 months. So you will notice over the course of the next few months your skin getting better and better. Continue using antiaging products such as our Platinum Eyes Restoration Therapy and Matrixyl Synthe’6 2x per day for best results.

No need to suffer. Remember a few things: 1. Be sure to STOP use of retinoids and strong leave-on acids 4-6 days prior to a peel. 2. Go ahead and use a numbing cream. Apply, wipe and wash well prior to peel. 3. Use a lowe % of TCA and just apply more layers! Try the 7%. It is GREAT.

Around 35 I started to notify I was loosing firming on my upper eyelids, I did some tca peel and it was miraculous no more ptosis, my skin is retracted itself no wrinkles notning like in my 20's this is fabulous, people asking me all the time what are you doing to your skin why you're looking so young, my secret is no sun and chemical peel. With chemical peel the skin is plumped by its own collagen and elastin, and no need for Botox because the skin is stretched and firm by the production of collagen induced by chemical peel. This is the best. As I shave my hair, I also do chemical peel on my scalp, and I noticed that all my facial skin was more strained.

@@earlofmar7987Yes it burns. Depending on the percentage varies the severity of the burning sensation and also how use to it you are/ your tolerance. I find I’m completely peel in about a weekish/ less than two weeks for sure. Décolletage takes about 4 weeks to completely flake off. It’s not as noticeable as the face peeling imho tho. I feel comfortable leaving the house after about a week, even with the chest peeling still. Not sure if it’s different for everyone, this is just my experience. :)

Hello. TCA is the best option to help stimulate collagen and elastin. BUT ... nothing is going to just fill in areas where the fat and underlying tissues are migrating causing hollowing. What you Can do though ... is to get a series of PRF undereye treatments. I would couple this with your TCA 7 peels.

This is something that everyone asks. YES... you can continue on with your peels as you see fit. You can take a break if you wish ... or just continue on with a 1x monthly peel. Do what works best with your schedule. What usually happens is that you do 2 or 3 sessions and then you are HAPPY with your face. YEP! Then... you just continue on with your Daily Regimen products (Fusion A, Acid wash, Antioxidants, Peptides ... SPF) and then do a peel whenever you want a BOOST again. ***Be SURE to take PHOTOS each month ... or every couple of months during your Sessions so you can SEE how far you have come! Once you reach the 3-6 month time frame ... big changes from deep down are going to start showing on your face. That is when you start your Happy Dance! Can't wait to see it!

Yes. We are applying a very DRY layer of the TCA ... so this is actually a bit lighter than a standard 7% TCA peel on the face. More layers are fine. :) It will take at least 90 days before you start to SEE actual changes that are happening in the area you did the peel on. Patience is key.

There is nothing at all wrong with preventative skin care. I don't think you would need a monthly peel - but maybe 1-2x a year would be a super way to stimulate collagen and elastin so you KEEP looking great. Retinol is your friend as well. Use that now and forever for the healthiest skin. Start with the .10%.

Thanks for all of the info. Your videos are stellar. I have one question. After the initial 7 days will the under eye look better or worse or the same? In the video I think you say smoother but that collagen formation takes time. In the written website description it is only mentioned about the time involved for new collagen. I have only used lactic, and I am new to that (waiting the week prior to eye peel). So no experience to speak of.

TCA 30 would cause an immediate frosting of the skin (white/blanching), intense irritation and then a pink hue to the skin (erythema). 1. A peel is not instant. It will take 3-5 days to Start flaking and another 3-5 days to Finish flaking.

TCA is the only acid that has actual studies to prove that it does create new collagen and elastin tissues in the skin. When these increase, the skin will look better and can certainly become a bit tighter. Is it a replacement for a blepheraplasty? ... Probably not. But, it will improve the eye area starting at about 3 peels and moving on from there.

The eyes can really swell if you are applying a peel that is very strong. Could you? Sure ... but, I would not be in any hurry to work UP to that. Remember, the collagen you are stimulating today with THIS peel application will not be visible for months. There is no rush. Even the strongest acid peel is not going to give INSTANT long-term results. Building tissues happens deep in the skin. :) Take a before photo now ... and then 1 every month. You will see changes starting around month 3.

Also, do I need to change my usual skin care routine (am and pm) in case TCA has any other drying effect on the overall face? Thank you for your answer. Stay well.
@PlatinumSkinCare
@PlatinumSkinCare 4 жыл бұрын
On the next following days you can do the Luminosity if you wish. Stop that once any dryness/flaking occurs. Emu oil or essentials Blend will be perfect to keep it hydrated. SPF 50 is very important. You could put some makeup on if you wish - but if you can skip it, that is always best. I would wash your face as normal. Usually 2x per day. You don't "have" to wash it again just to apply more hydration (if needed). I think the untreated parts of your face can go on with your normal regimen.

Yes, apply an SPF when you are going outdoors to protect the skin from sun damage. Try to make this a part of your daily regimen and apply an SPF of 30-50 on your entire face.

If you are unsure...start off with a lighter peel on the eye area. Lactic 50 is an excellent choice and can be applied one time per week.

How long after a face peel can I preform an eye peel? Can they be done in the same day?
@PlatinumSkinCare

Jesahira Early I would do them at the same time generally - but you could stagger them if you wish. You are not overlapping areas, so either way shouldn’t be an issue. Do what works best for you.

I did a chemical peel and I used almost half of the bottle i will cut the gauze next time bc it soaked up half of the product or I'll buy a brush bc I literally wasted so much product using a whole square of gauze :(

Don't use a brush - they will drip. As for the gauze - make sure to squeeze out any extra. You should have enough for 3-5 peels from that bottle.

Can one apply Aquaphor after the TCA 7 eye peel instead emu oil or other products in the kit? (trying to save $)
@PlatinumSkinCare

Hello. Absolutely you can. It is an occlusive ointment though - and not really needed with such a mild peel. So LESS is more. Just a smear. Most likely your normal eye cream could be hydrating enough. Give it a try as well.

Hi Jennifer. It's awesome that you do this and thank you so much. I have darker circles down on the lower orbital bone. I don't know if it's a reflection for my glasses causing pigment to build up there or what. But I wonder could night just wiped out also?

Laura Dean I’m not sure what that last part was in reference to. I think that you can definitely use the Fade Bright on the area 2x per day and then think about the eye peel.

@@PlatinumSkinCareI am sorry, didn't proof read. I was asking if I could apply the tca to the orbital bone as well as directly under the eye. I sam thinking yes please on the eye peel. The darkened area is one problem, then there are lines and wrinkles as well. Thanks for your help. 😀

@@laurahelene9118 Absolutely you can. Apply a little vaseline to stop it from seeping further than you wish. The peel will help with the lines as well. The eye peel comes with the Matrixyl Synthe'6 which is EXCELLENT for the eye wrinkles. Our Platinum Eyes Restoration Eye Cream is great to: www.platinumskincare.com/platinum-eye-restoration-therapy/

@@PlatinumSkinCare Okay, I will be prepared to order end of next week. I am going for it with the eye peel and I am so excited I can hardly stand it! I was reading about Matrixyl Synthe 6 and was blown away by he description!! I must tell you I did my first peel ever 5 days ago, not from here but it's how I found you! It is 40% lactic acid. I felt nothing except slight tingly burn on forehead for under a minute. It should be weekly. How soon should I stop coating skin under eyes to prepare for eye peel?

Hello! Will the TCA peel remove microblading? Thank you in advance for your response!
@PlatinumSkinCare
@PlatinumSkinCare 5 жыл бұрын
Hmmmm. I am not understanding this question I think. Microblading is basically shaving the hairs off the face. Are you asking if you can do TCA instead of microblading? That answer is no. Or are you asking if you can do both? We suggest not to do them on the same day.
@HolmsAwayFromHome
@HolmsAwayFromHome 5 жыл бұрын
She’s asking I think about microblading which in essence is an eyebrow tattoo. I’ve seen people coat their brows with Vaseline to avoid messing up the expensive microblading

can i get rid of an extra crease that appeared on my upper eyelid and made it droopy by tca and these steps to normally have one crease again?
@PlatinumSkinCare
@PlatinumSkinCare 6 жыл бұрын
Well, as much as I want to say that TCA will fix your extra crease and droop, it isn't an open and shut case. Yes, TCA will improve your skin and stimulate collagen and tightening - but this will take months. Some see results sooner, but we have to be realistic and patient. It WILL improve. If you are using the 7%, I suggest about 3 layers your first time to get some "action". Then in 4-5 weeks do another peel. Meanwhile every day use peptides, retinoids and an excellent hydrating eye cream to continue with your skin's health. www.platinumskincare.com/matrixyl-synthe6-complex-35/ www.platinumskincare.com/retinol-molecular-serums-10-20-30/ www.platinumskincare.com/platinum-eye-restoration-therapy/

@@watchout2214 If you are only 24 it is a great time to start using anti aging products as a preventative. Start using a retinod (like our retinol) every evening. Just that alone will help you greatly. If I were to choose only 1 product for you - it would be that one.

I did a 10% TCA peel around my eyes, and I applied 2 layers and it did not peel, it only looks dry, and it also looks worse than before. How long do I wait to do it again? should I do a 20% TCA instead? thank you for any input to make my eyes look better.
@PlatinumSkinCare
@PlatinumSkinCare 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, that would be about right. We do have a photo on our product page of someone that has some actual flakes - but I just had dryness. It went on for 4 days or so and then was gone. Next time do NOT even think about moving up to a 20%. Do more layers of your 10%. I would suggest 3-4 layers. Work up to 5 layers and then you can go to the 13% if you wish. Use caution with the eyes. Only 1 peel per month and remember it is going to take months before you start to see improvements and collagen. Nothing is instant.

@@PlatinumSkinCare thank you very much, I will next month do 4 layers and work up to 5 lawyer and see what happens. I did the upper eye lid and underneath the eye. @Claudia Guerere I think if you are only applying 1 layer it will be fine. If you are doing 2-3 layers ... I would definitely wait a longer time. Like 6 weeks.
