This song actually was originally recorded by i5 in 2000. Then that group’s label folded and Play recorded it in 2001. Then SHE (from Taiwan) covered it in early 2003 before the Cheetah Girls did it in late 2003. And yes, I think Solange was gonna be a part of the CG but she decided to pursue a solo career and had the support of her dad and sister (Beyoncé), eventually achieving success in the 2006-2007 era with her jazz/pop/funk album and songwriting a bit.
