Her grandfather doesn’t even have to be young. A 25 year old can have a 50 year old father who has a 75 year old father. Dune is (at this interview) 57 years old, so the grandfather could have read it as a 18 year old teen when it came out. Dune is an old book.

Saw it in theaters and I have HBO Max. Completely worth it. I saw Stephen's interview w/ Denis Villeneuve and heard how it was intended to be seen on the big screen and it's not hyperbole. The scale of things in the movie is pretty freaking cool.

I was lucky to see the film where I live a week ago (It came to cheaters earlier here) and, yes, it's beautifully done: well adapted, great acting all around, incredible cinematography, just a beautiful film to watch. I read the book for the first time just before seeing it and the book goes deep(!) philosophically, but the film worth seeing on its own merit. So do me a favour, cuz I REALLY want to see part 2, and GO SEE IT! ;^)

This is the thing with The Late Show, their location is in New York City. Unlike shows based on California like Corden's and Kimmel's, he doesn't get to interview the actors and actresses in Hollywood, at least in person. However, Stephen still gets to interview politicians and theater performers, which I think is his two greatest interests, so that's fine.
