If you're reading this Lewis, gold in Civ 5 is just a number, it's only when you get completely bankrupt it's a problem. You shouldn't avoid building good buildings because your GPT is negative, you can just build a trade route if you're concerned about it.

I'm so happy they're making Civ V videos again. I never even tried to play Civ 6. Something about it always looked... really messy to me. It feels like it's just this assault of information and clutter in the UI and even the map itself.

Civ 6 is fantastic if you actually know how to play it, most Yogs just never bothered to learn
@AcceptTheNull Жыл бұрын
I have the opposite issue but with V. It is mostly just a checklist in your cities. Then the other UIs are also just checklist/boxes. It's like how the cards in VI allow infinite customization while the civics in V are built like old WoW talent trees.

@@AcceptTheNull a checklist? What are you talking about lol. But to respond to the original post, civ 6 definitely has the most noise and becomes much too micromanagey the longer you get into the game. Many of the cards for example are completely useless and only need to be changed every so often

Having stacks of happiness gives such a bonus towards golden ages, it's always best to crank it as hard as possible. It's probably too early in the game for these guys to be thinking about more than keeping it barely positive, but getting huge amounts is soooo gooooooodddddd ❤
@IcepersonYT2 ай бұрын
Sorry to necro an old comment but honestly happiness management is something Yogs are bafflingly bad at. As someone who recently got back into the game and used to do one city turtle challenges because I hated the micro-management and happiness issues that come with big empires it just really isn't that hard to avoid being unhappy. You basically just have to stagger out your settlements when you need happiness, always settle on a unique luxury and have a plan in place for how you are going to get that luxury as soon as possible. A winning strat for me is save up some money beforehand to just buy a worker in the new city. I think part of their issues is that they try to get out all of the expansions back to back instead of choosing a good time to settle. The fact that Lewis has felt compelled to avoid growth in his cities at all shows that it's a part of the game he's really weak at.

Why would duncan not build petra in his cap?????
@KombatJester Жыл бұрын
He probably didn't read that it doesn't affect floodplains tiles and thought the other city had more "desert".
@daddysempaichan Жыл бұрын
Less affected tiles and would render leaving a big chunk of land rather useless, as he's going Tradition and want's to settle few high value cities. It's not that bad of a place to build Petra, either. Plenty of hills, and a couple of good food tiles to grow. I do agree that he should've built it in his Capital. You don't need to get the max value out of Petra, just having like, 10 tiles buffed by it is more than good enough, imo. What he did was greedy and someone could've probably sniped it from Duncan, by have more food tiles, thus bigger cities and more production, but no one did, probably because they only see Petra worth building if they can get close to the maximum value out of it. You know, Single Player mentaity. But hey, we don't watch the Yogs for their high level, big brain gameplay, so it's nothing to rip your dick over.
@colossaldonut5190 Жыл бұрын
@@daddysempaichan Rythian definitely could have gotten value from it, but also it's Rythian and I doubt he would want to start any conflict at any point in the game, that said the idea of stealing Petra probably didn't even cross his mind. There's almost 0 benefit to building it for anybody else who can even build the wonder (it requires a desert on the settled tile or adjacent to the city) and I doubt anybody could have contested it before Duncan got it. It will be interesting to see who gets Althing between JD and Daltos since both have a lot of Tundra that would benefit from it.

Yes, but actually no. Go look at the original Batman comics: he's buff, but not huge. Which makes sense, as _acrobatics_ is a huge part of his style and skillset as a superhero. He's not super tall or super hench, but at his size and without overcommitting to brute strength, he _is_ at his peak.

Sure, upgrading the deer at this point in time isn't as crucial, since he has the Whales, which are better. But the deer should have been the first tiles he upgraded, given his start and the lack of innate embarkation for workers.
