I was at a Frontier League game once being umped by Max McLeary, a one eyed umpire. Yes, he actually did have only one eye....and a glass eye. When one of the coaches didn't like a call, he would yell out of the dugout asking if the ump needed some Windex. The ump took it all in stride and hollered a good comeback (wish I could remember what it was.). Reportedly one time after a tirade from the dugout, Max took out his glass eye, walked over to the dugout, handing it to the coach, asking if the coach wanted to ump. I had to think, this is what baseball should be and there should be more umps like Max McLeary. I got to meet Max that night and shake his hand as a friend of mine was the other umpire on the field so after the game was invited into the clubhouse. RIP Max.

This type of behavior by the umpires will change, once a player has enough and punches their lights out. Sure the player will get fined, and a big suspension, but it will send the intended message. You engage in this type of behavior, and you might just get your ass beat. Other option is to have some sort of appeal that can be done in-game and quickly. Kind of like how they review technical and flagrant fouls in basketball.

I have an idea to prevent all the childish acts on the field which involves umpires. Get rid of the umpiring job completely and turn to technology. No arguing with that, only over ruling. I'm tired of these umpires acting like little cry babies on a playground. The umpires make bad calls often and get questioned about it and then want to throw players out of the game. It's time to throw the umpires out of the game and eliminate their job! I always say, people pay to see the players. They don't pay to see the umpires. So guess what? The umpires should be the ones to get tossed out the game! Case closed.

Definitely a weak ejection if the player wasn't warned, but we really have no idea what was said the inning before when the player was walking away after the strikeout. The camera does not show the umpire and he may have have warned Walker to chill it at this point. Walker also said something while he was clapping, so imagine something like "You awake now, ump?" We're up to three instances of antogonizing the umpires now. Usually one call is argued and that's the end of it. Christian has argued both strikes from the previous inning and is mocking them this inning. Does he get four instances of irritating the umpires before ejection?
