tekken 8 character roster is fewer and tekken 7 had the fun characters while still having the footsies even if the 2d characters were it was rare to fight them during those days now its kinda frequent since most will just come back just to play those

If a company creates a model that pissing the customer off, that causing said consumer to review bomb them, then not talking to said consumer because of hurt feelings, then wtf is the reason for the consumer to buy more of their products? Edit: So the consumer bought the pre-orders, bought the "editions", bought the season pass, bought the tekken shop, then telling me that it's not enough? Something is telling me that having all this high end graphics, bloated workers in the field making this game doesn't seem to be working well.

There's also the point that TK might still be Bandai Namco's strongest owned franchise in growth, so the company is desperate to maximize profits to make up for the bad or unsatisfying performance from everything else.

It's a problem pretty much all of the bigger game companies have: They spend a ton of money they don't have on a ton of things nobody asked for and then let customer pay the bill. And Tekken doesn't only need to pay for itself, apparently it also needs to pay for that failed Genshin clone. 4:28 The whole thing about supporting the devs yeah. It's understandable under the games-are-art paradigm. If you look at it like that then you could see the relationship between a studio and a publisher like the one between a band and their label. But thinking like an artist is not the smartest thing if you want to make money, and that's usually what companies are supposed to do. Some devs seem to be delusional enough to think they can have both, all of their creative vision in a game and all the financial success. But it doesn't work like that, artists who wouldn't compromise had to suffer throughout most of history. In the end if people don't like something they don't buy it and devs need to be realistic about that. Gamers are not the salvation army.

I say let Tekken burn, if this how the franchise is going to be, I don't want to play it. They are more worried about making money back, when all you needed to do was make a functional product and not be greedy, 70,100,160 almost for the game, the later two are functionally useless. I feel bad for those who bought the collector version of the game. If the game is so expensive to make then STOP pushing for better graphics. Focus on balancing,blocking cheaters and hackers with actually countermeasures. Ditich this "Arcade Era" mentality. I brought T7s deluxe bundle late into the games life span (which came with all the DLCs and stages) since it was on sale on ps4 and I was hooked onto the franchise. Op Leroy on release was completely money grab. At release of Tekken 7 everyone cried about Eliza who was and is still not in the Season 1 pass. They showed us 10 million sold copies, but didn't ban ragequitters, cheater and nver balanced the game the right way. Instead of nerfing the build everyone to powerhouses and that was even worse.

If fans are creating conditions for this game to disappear then good, I won't miss it. Customers are the one who've supported the game from its conception, and after being betrayed and spit in the face through predatory DLC, egregious monetization, cancelling of harmless cosmetic mods, subpar netcode/matchmaking/online, the worst mechanic in a 3d fighter - Heat, unfair discriminatory practices in the professional circuit, it's reached the tipping point and we've just had enough. I dont' care about devs, I dont care about publishers, I care about receiving a quality product for the money that I willfully paid for and if I don't get it, then I have every right to voice my complaints. At this point the complaints are so numerous that to me, it's gotten past the point of no return. I'm no longer interested in the success of this game and would rather people turn away and play something worth our money and time.

Wasted 70$ on the base game. They charging for shit that used to free, the game itself is inconsistent. The amount of tracking with non tracking attacks, strikes phasing through people... T8 is a good game, it's still less than a year. Folk also dropped SF6 and now is SF is suddenly good becz of Akuma and the collabs in season 2. Tekken needs better content and balancing, Controversy aside, this is the best pack they've released. Good costumes and slight balance adjustment. I hope they continue also stop with the weird non communication. why even have the Tekken talk if you not gon talk about everything!

Nobody told them to spend so much $$$ on trash HEAT system. Tekken 7 had a small budget and much more "free" items. You know i hate calling it "free" because we already spent $100+ on the damn game and now we're calling things free? I told yall before: give em an inch, they'll take a mile. Stop calling "DLC" items "DLC" and stop calling it "free" when 75% of the items and outfits have been in previous Tekkens. It takes no work or $$$ to add it to Tekken 8. Its not "free!" When comparing T8 to T7, you can't just look at sales. You have to look at the money. T7 sold 12 million copies but that doesn't say how much the game cost to make and how much it was sold for. You have to look at the revenue in relation to the cost. You also can't compare T8 to a F2P game. Most FTP games have smaller budgets and more aggressive monetization. Do you really want another Tekken Revolution? To counter Chules' point, yes, the fans should be concerned about the finances of the games they support. If the money is not there, the product is not there. I always worry about the sales of my favorite games and i worry when they are poor because i want to keep enjoying those products. It's true that no one thinks about the finances of McDonalds when the go to get a burger but when a BigMac cost $20 or the local McDonalds closes down they'll wish they had.

I agree and disagree with some of it. I think alot of people forget at the end of the day bandai namco is a business. They are about making money and being profitable as much as possible just like every other business. Fighting games are very niche and casuals are where the most money comes from. $5 for a stage is not bad at all. Try playing apex or Cod where it’s 20+ dollars for a skin in a first person game! Don’t get the stage if you don’t like it. I don’t have all the stages on street fighter because I don’t care about some of them. You do not HAVE to buy these things to play or enjoy the game. Battle passes and micro transactions are common/ standard in most video games. People seem to now just hate that it’s in their game

Tournament organizers as well can Ban the stage at their tournament if they truly are against this. Nowhere is bandcai namco saying you have to use that stage. I do think the community is over reacting because at least to me they can make alot more worse decisions for a game that people love.

I totally get that they have to make money and I am cool with that, but is this how they have to go about it? Why are characters and the stage not in the ingame shop? Why is the shop so clunky? Why is the battle pass full of junk that no one asked for? I think if there was some actual hype things in there, maybe people would buy it. SF6 does NOT doing everything right, you talk about MTX and monetization yet SF6 not only have a MTX and battle pass but it even it charged 15$ for TMNT skins and 24$ for pirate and space skins. Also the balance in SF6 also was terrible for the whole first year of the game and it ruined the scene, and the matchmaking in SF6 Ranked is HORRIBLE too. And World Tour is a GOD-AWFUL mode. MK1 however is the only one of the big 3 that doesn't have a battle pass, does PHENOMENAL stories, and even reduced the prices of its' MTX shop, and even given several free skins for several weeks, AND it's super well balanced. You gotta stop with this SF6 defending LMAO, that is pathetic.

@@Teh69thSpartan That's because SF is the golden boy of the FGC, so there's a lot of politics that the FGC use to protect SF as much as possible and to scare everyone to bad mouth it as much as they can. That's why even though SF6 has a lot of issues, there are people who lie about it and call it a "masterpiece that does everything right". Like with the microtransactions, they did talk about the TMNT skins and the 3rd skins for the main chars because these were too obvious even for them to ignore, but the pirate and space skins that costed 24$ just for their colors weren't obvious enough, not to mention that it would've exposed SF to be just an overhyped junk, so the FGC tried to hide this as much as they could. It's all done on purpose.
