@@heturnal let's make this clear... Dani Alves was not better than Cole. That's one of the most deluded things I've ever heard. How can u make such a statement with the stats between them? Cole has played in a more prestigious league and still won more trophies than him including an invincibles PL (with 6 overall PLs won), a record breaking 8 FA cups (more than any other player in English history) and not to mention winning the UCL with a comeback against the world's best ever team, Barca, at the time (without cheating like Dani Alves did in the 2009 UCL against Chelsea). The fact of the matter is Ashley Cole has accomplished more, and better, feats than Dani Alves. There's absolutely NO WAY Alves was better than Cole. Attacking-wise, yes. Jardel was a great striker but missed on a huge career due to his drug addiction. Even he has admit it. He was awesome for any team he played for whilst he was in form. When his age and his drug addiction began to take an effect on his career, he still scored a few goals... He won an election a few years back but was so drugged out of his mind that, if I'm not wrong, I believe he had to step down. Just sad. As a Gunners fan, I like Leno and yet I'm still baffled Arsenal sold Szczesny, let alone as cheap as they did. I saw a few of his saves for Brentford (I think) where he had been on loan. I felt like I had to check him out when he was brought in instead of the injured Almunia and Fabianski. And it was immediately evident that you would have to learn to pronounce and spell this difficult and unknown name 'cause he was going to be big. You'd be damn hard pressed to find another teen 3rd choice 'keeper who performed anywhere near as well as Szczesny after being thrust into the spotlight. I couldn't wait to see him get the #1 shirt instead of his #53 and then #13. He's tall and strong and backed up by every sort of stats, but the thing I've always admired the most in him is his giant cold steel BALLS. He didn't seem to care if he murdered an opposition player (see Bale), or one of his own team, as long as his goal was protected.

Jardel was an excellent finisher, but Brazil had a number of experienced forwards playing in higher tier leagues than Liga Noche or the Superlig when Jardel was prominent, e.g. Ronaldo, Romario, Bebeto, Edmundo, Elber (another superb striker who struggled for caps). There were also a number of very good young forwards for Brazil at that time, including Nilmar, Robinho, Ronaldinho, Ewerthon and others. Elber is possibly even more disrespected than Jardel as he played for a huge Club (Bayern) in a big league, finishing runner-up and winning the Champions League as well as multiple BuLi titles (4 in 6 years with Bayern). Jardel would've had a far better international career if he has pursued Portuguese citizenship and represented Portugal - he could've played more with Cristiano Ronaldo, who was emerging at Sporting at the time.

Neville “Big Nev” Southall should’ve been the GK - absolute monster in goal. Best British GK of all time. Blown away by anyone who doesn’t rate Ashley Cole; clearly the prems best full back of all time! Dennis Irwin would be most professionals underrated player within this position. Moreover everyone rates Muller and Grealish in midfield - how Ryan Giggs isn’t the automatic choice here again boggles the mind. Manchester United and Liverpool are the only clubs in English football history to have won more league championships than Giggs! He won 13! 162 assists, the all time assist king 👑 second place is 111 cesc Fabregas 🤯 Wayne Rooney gets no way near the level of respect he deserves. Record holder for Man Utd and England - scorer of unimaginable goals 🤷🏻♂️ Or another England superstar Michael Owen who won a bloody ballon dor but gets more flack than praise these days. These two options were simply unplayable on their day. Yet another upfront underrated striker IMO is Raud Van Nistelrooy; his goal per game ratio was insane - the man could do everything too.

Giggs was a great player (even better than Grealish imo). Rocky, mad how you can compare the two players at all. Giggs was a legend at Man Utd by the time Grealish had even kicked a ball in the prem. I hear ya Rocky. I durno whether Giggs he gets the plaudits and “first come to mind” level of legendary status; I bet if he were English - he’d be bigger than Beckham. Beckham at his top was better than Giggs but they were only a couple of year and the fact that he was English, has a cute face (to female crowd) and hes married to a spice girl clearly help him to became a bigger name in the media than Giggs. Giggs was a more reliable player and stayed out of the press (outside the whole cheating scandal), maybe less exciting than Beckham but no doubt a extremely valuable player for Man Utd. @@Almira00 Ramos isn't a great human being. Does that mean he isn't a great CB?

@@Almira00 literally the dumbest shit I've heard in a long time. Marcus rashford has done some amazing work to help his community throughout the pandemic, but it doesn't make him the best footballer itw. Luis suarez has bitten Ivanovic and bonucci and denied ghana the chance of making it to the wc semifinal by blocking a clear goal on the goalline with his hand, does that make him a shit player. Yes, footballers should be mindful of the things they do that could influence kids into doing the same thing, but shouldn't be stripped of their legendary status based on the things they did apart from football

Müller is Germany’s best player at the moment and he doesn’t even make the squad. Best CAM in the world. De Bruyne is more of a CM

Leighton Bains outstrips Cole in every metric. Positioning is to do with the shape of the team not the individual.
