Barca fans adore him, he’s an undisputed starter, most passes in the league, can fit in as a midfielder, has played in centerback, last season he was our most consistent player, least injury prone (with kounde). I don’t see what moving to a mid table prem club would have done for Anthony lopes , he’s played ucl football regularly at Lyon and they’ve had some very good sides over the years. Hes had a fine career , I think his only regret will be not getting the minutes at international level like Pat said.

On the topic of FDJ, practically every fan I know loves him, our only gripe about him is his disproportionately astronomical wages. Our second best midfielder behind Pedri. The reason he was almost sold (and for so little at that) was because of Barças financial situation. It generated money, and also got his wages off the book. That’s it. Not for sporting reasons. The reason he hasn’t reached those heights people thought he would is bc previous managers didn’t utilize him correctly. He’s not a single pivot, he can’t play the Busquets role, bc he likes to venture way too far forward and doesn’t take up the right positions when the single pivot. We’ve tried it. He literally needs someone like Romeu besides him bring out the best in him. Someone who will stay back a bit more so that fdj can progress the ball from deep. Either through passes or through Carries. But make no mistake, barca fans love him.

Sancho has played his best football from the right wing for United. The whole 22/23 pre season he was playing there and then roughly 5 cameo appearances there during last season he actually looked dangerous running at players and scored goals floating in from that side. He deserves more of a chance there, but was also not smart to speak out publicly against Ten Hag, especially when Antony is looking likely to be out for a bit during the investigation
