Not sure because England without Rice and Foden is infinitely more productive so did this have any influence on Kane's recent poor form? Foden has been really lucky in his starts for England as he has shown no form at all. Its almost like he is lost without Pep programming him before each match.

They have the most depth of talent then any other international team in world football ATM but they need to choose their players wisely and not just on name but hopefully Tuchel does that! This game shows how the team is more important than any individual. The so called “stars” withdrawing has had a positive effect and the difference between this game and the reverse fixture at Wembley was day and night. You DON’T have to shoehorn players into the team just to get all the big names into the starting 11… play the players in the correct positions.

And that will be another downfall for England under foreign manager like in the past (Eriksson-Shearer, Capello-Rooney). I guess the reason and preference of the English Fa for hiring Tuchel is because of Harry Kane, the English Fa want Tuchel to get the best out Kane so The Fa can have better income for the next 18 months. Does the English Fa ever think about winning a trophy? My answer is No. If the Fa ever think about winning a trophy, it does not need to wait until today that England problem is still the same which on my personal mind the only real problem in England is the English Fa.

Stevie was 100% right here. In prior years, Jones would play well for a few games and then would fall off. This year is the 1st time he has sustained his high level and even went up a couple notches. Stevie was a great player who was at Liverpool when they were the best in the world. As a result, he has different standards to most. In fact, Stevie is the only one in the ESPN FC panel who was a truly great player and it shows in his standards and expectations.

@@zalemdreams how is he inconsistent when he hasn’t play much football for LFC of the last 2 seasons. He was a back up to Liverpool midfield. Mostly 2nd choice on the left of the midfield position. He did play very well last few months of last season. And was great last few games for Liverpool. While he is only 23 years old. He needs to play more games before anyone judge him. So far he was GOOD of the last 10-15 games.
