Dear Charles, though I'm not a bass player (I'm an old drummer and even more a perscussionist), I must say: awesome on more than one level! Seen several of your videos now. Not only in terms of technique, groove, musicality etc, but the way you seem to want to (and able to) inspire other (young) musicians, that to me is the reason why I started following you here. Keep that up, we need more of this. Regards from The Netherlands, Peter van Stigt.

This comment got me intrigued, so I went and did some research of Social Blade. Charles' channel immediately started gaining significant subs and views back around Sept. 2019. Before that point he had about 3600 subs. Any guesses what interactions with a certain other bassist might have sparked that? Anyway, his view and sub growth is remarkably linear since then. Just steady growth of 25k +/- 5k subs per month. At that pace he'll hit 1M in about 13 months. Now, perhaps there are some things that might get Charles some new attention and increase that rate. I personally think he'd be a fantastic interviewer of famous bassists much like Julia over at Thomann's Guitar and Bass is. And who knows what might go viral on KZbin at any point? But my point is that after an initial shot in the arm by Davie, he's consistently earned more and more subs just by doing his own thing and putting out quality content that I think has plenty of rewatch value if someone finds any of it even years later. So, I know you weren't expecting a little essay, but it just piqued my interest. I've been quite impressed at Charles' flourishing as a content creator, and it looks like he's just going to keep going up and up and up. Good job, CB.
