Love the show and you guys are adorable! For the garbage bag, I guess it might be different for different garbage cans (especially fancy automatic ones?), but the trick for a good ol' normal bin is to not 'inflate' the bag outside of the bin, but to wrap the opening of the bag over the bin and then push the bag into the bin with your arm - most bags are designed to be put in that way: the lining is the proof of it! I can then simply let the air out and tighten the excess around the bin. Hope that helps!
