what a bullshit. I don't believe I forgot being born, I just wasn't able to create memories yet. Being born doesn't give you amazing superpowers and resilience. Breaking both of my arms, nose and cracking a rib at the same time 10 years ago was traumatic and it sure as shit didn't left me more resilient to be handicapped for almost 3 months.

What nonsense. Humans don't remember being born because we're not even properly sentient yet. The human brain doesn't develop to that point until about five years old. By the time we achieve sentience, our brains have changed so much that we can't access earlier memories. It has nothing to do with trauma.

It being traumatic has nothing to do with the reason we don't remember it. We don't remember it because the memory forming capacity of our brains is still immature at that point.

It’s also possible that you simply don’t remember it because you were too young. Because my birth is not the only thing I have forgotten from my childhood. Also, even though people can forget things because it’s traumatic, it’s also possible to remember traumatic memories in extreme detail. That’s why I remember things like when my sister burned me, or pets that died.
