if people see this and are facing this issue I'm here to let you know, instead of buying a laptop and it turns out like this you probably could have bought a "used" desktop, if you're willing, and maybe got a set up with that in which it could probably play genshin at 1080p medium or even high for the same price as that laptop or less and it could probably play many other games as well

It kinda sucks that some people won't get to experience the gorgeous Natlan in the upcoming 5.0. I used to play Genshin like this before so i can understand the pain.

I remember playing Genshin on Asus Vivobook AMD Ryzen 5 3500U Vega8 iGPU laptop, I used to play it on 1080p lowest settings and used to get around 30-35fps(0.6 render res with SMAA), now I got an RTX3050 laptop which can run Genshin easily at max settings 60fps. Can't forget the struggle but it was worth it that time xD.

I'm gonna get a school laptop on the 30th of August. I will experiment on it by downloading Genshin and seeing what happens. I already have Genshin on my regular non terrible laptop. But I want to do it for the sake of science. Remind me on the 30th of August and I'll go back to this comment and tell you guys the results

Dude... Those specs are the same as my dead laptop... AHHHHHHHHH, i hate it... I hate how dumb am i (in reality idfk what made my laptop stop working, but it just makes me mad that i could play on pc, but because i didn't knew i wanted to play genshin until few months ago, almost 2 years since the pc broke)

I play on a relatively cheap laptop, Dell inspiron 15, and I can easily achieve 60 fps on max settings, aside from render resolution all the way down, which isn't an issue with AA.

@@ThiefOfTheMoon thats cool! buuut i would advise to actually prioritize render resolution first especially for intense combat like Spiral Abyss or Imaginarium Theatre, if youre relying on AA (more specifically FSR 2) on those moments the image would look very blurry when theres any type of motion on screen

@@zeskyygaming I don’t attempt the spiral abyss often, and the 30 fps boost is a lot more significant than a small resolution difference.

Try playing on Nvidia GeForce Now and it will be a stable 60 fps, i play on mobile (i have 4gb ram) and on max graphics it runs on around 40fps but on mid graphics its a stable 60fps (Bad thing is that you can only play for 1 hour and have to restart to play again, but the wait time is just around 2-5 minutes but its worth it)

@@zicaowastaken yes, streaming services are a good alternatives but the downside is that you do need very good wifi to have an enjoyable experience

having more RAM doesnt necessarily equal to more performance. it mainly just allows you to have more programs open in the background or load things a bit quicker. i have another laptop that has 4 GB RAM but that runs significantly better than this because it uses an SSD and better CPU good on you though for having a PC to play on 👍

nope you could totally play using just integrated graphics, but you do need a good CPU to do that though and no need to downgrade drivers

Hey, I am a new laptop user I just bought a Lenovo loq i7 13 gen 512 with 6gb 4050 rtx and I wanna try genshin impact, can someone tell me how much storage does it take as I am planning to do my programming in this laptop and many more things.

as of the current version it takes up 78,3 GB of storage, beware that 5.0 probably would exceed that by a lot lol
