Chapter 1 seems to follow the plot of Phantom of the Opera. Chrissy is Christine, Raoul is Raoul, the teacher is supposed to be the Phantom (also checks out because Christine is a minor and the phantom her father's age in PTO as well), Heather was Carlotta (pretty sure the teacher caused her to get hurt so Chrissy can become lead). A lot of little details like the rose on the notes and the cemetery scene are all references from the play. The only thing I was stuck on was who possessed Amy. At first I thought it might've been alluding to the sequel of PTO, where Christine's supposed best friend Meg tries to take Christine's place in the Phantom's eyes. But there didn't seem to be any characters close to Chrissy in the game? Hope this helps! It was fun to discover all the ways the game was tied to PTO. 😸

It really is! The mirror breaking and you walking through it to get to the sewers is also a reference. Someone lurking through the shadows and eyes through the walls are references to the phantom. Even the riddle that you print out is an ode to a song in the movie version of PTO. If you ever have time to watch the movie, you'll probably catch a lot of details
