They sure do look cool firing out into the room like that but have tried turning them around and have them facing the wall? If not then you should give it a try sometime. Leave a good 3 to 4 inches between the woofer and the wall or aim into a corner. Depends on your room but we have seen dramatic increases in SPL while reducing cone flutter along with port noise. I’ve got leg on my JL 12w3 at the moment so it fires down to the floor and the side port is aimed into a corner. I found it picked up a lot all through the frequency response range. Just sharing my experience, not telling you what’s best for you or nothing. Either way, have fun and keep us updated as your setup evolves!

The driver goes crazy for such a small footprint, and I truly believe the, I believe, 1100 watt peak dynamic rating. I did not expect a sealed box to get as low as it does. I almost bought the ported but I'm mostly using it for music, and everyone said sealed was the way to go
