25:34 the reason some rooms you can put the dots on the ceiling is because your actually putting the dots on an object in the above room. You are alr on the top floor of ridgeview so there's no room above. That's why you can out them on the ceiling on the farmhouse bottom floor.

For me it's tier 3 firelight. it's perma, it's a very bright aoe, it reduces sanity drain, it's non-electronic, it stops one ghost from hunting. Majority of the items won't be missed honestly. Most tier 2s are fine, while t1 thermo and uv is still god tier. I used to believe I'll miss night vision, but T2 headlamp seems fine for me

It's also a pseudo EMF reader, in terms of finding the ghost in your early game, it will never go out unless the ghost blows it out. And it's your Wraith photos since you can't use salt. Also a nice thing to have 4 lanterns around your EMF to keep trying for that EMF5 interaction. I personally don't use the firelight to stop the Onryo from hunting tbh, I prefer just letting it blow 3 times to ID if it is one, then just stay safe in the light.

27:10 In Nightmare/Insanity, if a ghost presents an evidence that's forced for certain ghost types, there's a higher chance of it being those specific ghost types than the ones that the evidence isn't forced. Let's say you are dealing with a Myling, which is UV, EMF5 and Ghost Writing. Let's also assume that you are playing in Nightmare, therefore you only have two evidences. When you enter the game, it randomly chooses one evidence to get rid of. Assuming a fair chance for any evidence to be discarded, there's a 33.3% chance that the Myling ends up presenting UV and EMF5. Now, if we switch it up to an Obake in Nightmare, then it can no longer get rid of its UV evidence. In fact, it can only choose between EMF5 and Orbs, which means a 50% chance that its evidences are UV and EMF5. In other words, whereas non forced-evidence ghosts can be represented by 3 combinations of evidence (1+2, 2+3 or 1+3), the ones that do have forced evidence can only be represented by 2 combinations (1+2 or 1+3). So when you come across an UV+EMF5, the chances of it being an Obake that chose one of its 2 patterns are higher than the chances of it being a Myling that chose one of its 3 patterns. Of course, this combination can also describe a Jinn, so the chances of UV+EMF5 being Obake are actually lower than it not being Obake, albeit slightly higher than it being any other specific ghost. At the end of the day though, there's a lot more stuff that should be considered in the art of "figuring out what is this ghost just from watching Mr. Streamer play". The Obake itself has 16.7% chance to leave a different Fingerprint and 25% chance of not leaving any at all, both of which are usually dead giveaways - which conversely skews the odd against Obake whenever you find a normal Fingerprint. The game is full of little, weird ghost behaviors (and totally no bugs) that would take too much time and effort to quantify, so it's just safe to assume that it's never safe to assume anything.

I love watching Insym's phasmo videos, but I haven't watched one nor played Phasmo in a long time thanks to work- But I feel like I have no idea how to play this game anymore. I used to know all the ghosts like the back of my hand but now I feel like I don't know what I'm doing, I've never used any of the new items, or anything like that. I feel like I don't know whats going on lol

I went back after a 1+ year break and it’s really fun to get back into! If you have any friends that have the game, you should consider trying it again with them, otherwise there’s a Discord server and quite a few public lobbies, although solo is fine too. The amount of depth to this game is amazing, there’s always something you’ll learn and it feels great to improve at things, like finding evidence, looping the ghost, identifying them with less evidence modes, playing zero evidence to test your skills, and there’s always a fun weekly challenge to get you back into things. Can’t recommend the game enough :]

Same here! I try and play it every once in a while, and watching Insym’s videos really help to know bugs/bug fixes, hidden abilities. But I still can’t understand the moroi 😂 doesn’t matter how many times I read the journal

Having the old Asylum map unlocked after x level of Prestige could be a good idea. It gives a reason to prestige and it won’t be behind a paywall.

One of my favourite runs of all time was Insym vrs Asylum - I think the ghost was a Phantom in the end and a really obscure behaviour was the key. :D

it has fake orbs only, so if you get orbs there is always the chance it could be a mimic and for no evidence the mimic will always show orbs

Sym!!! Tell CJ to fix shade. I just spent 25 minutes total with the most aggressive shade that tried hunting multiple times while I was in the ghost room with double crucifix spreaded out. Shade feels super bugged for me

I think that we should celebrate the updation of Bleasdale and Grafton, sure we have plenty of fun and special memories on those iconic maps but I like to think of this coming update as less of a loss and more of an evolution of the those maps. We are not losing them, we are simply growing as players, fans and even people, and the maps are evolving along with us. Personally really looking forward to the evolution of those maps especially since Grafton is my favorite and most played map, super excited for the future, what do you guys think?
