I swear that while I was watching you win the US Senior Open I could hear you describing the shots before you hit them. I've watched all your videos and they have helped correct bad habits that creep into my game over time. Cheers on your major!

Love to watch your videos before I go out to play golf. I hear your instructions in my minds ear as I start my game. I have shaved at least 6 strokes off my game . That saying something. Thanks so much.

Love your enthusiasm Padraig, fantastic lesson. Hearing you say “go in” on a practice chip is probably the best lesson for all us amateurs and the reason why you are so respected and so successful. Sometimes you have to will the ball in the hole and never ever give up. That’s Padraig Harrington folks, Legend.

Another victory at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open! Congratulations! Your videos have helped me lower my handicap this year. You've touched on ball position in several and I would love to see an entire video on ball position throughout the bag on standard shots and how to use it on some specialty shots.

Paddy's Golf Tips....I look forward to every single post. I remember reading of your terrible injury a couple of years ago, and then you returned to playing and started doing these Tips for us. Paying it forward...then YOU WIN THE SENIOR US OPEN!!! Those putts at the end were so clutch. Perhaps you can share a bit on that on one of your vids. Thanks for posting!! Fan 4ever.

Padraig, any tips for someone with the chipping yips, unable to slow down on the down swing? ( asking for a friend😜)
@jessieschoenberg86692 жыл бұрын
question: why is ball position on front foot? conventional wisdom (and many of phil's videos) say that ball towards mid/back foot is preferable for low runners. Is there a higher risk of digging/hitting turf when ball is forward?
@jessieschoenberg86692 жыл бұрын
Update: in his first chipping video, he says that it’s better to practice with ball forward because it is more difficult and will require full weight forward. During rounds it is totally acceptable to move ball back especially for low shots or difficult lies

Perhaps a crazy question that I've asked loads of coaches to no avail: what part of the ball do you aim at (or sense in your mind)? (For irons) Do you think about the bottom of the ball and the leading edge of your club, or do you think about the middle of the ball and the middle of the clubface. Surely you can't think about the whole of the ball and clubface? Am I being too precise?

Looks more like wrist flexion/extension or flick? Not radial/ulnar like full swing?

Just tell them it’s the rule of 12 (for some its rule of 11 or other depending how you chip)… 12-7i = 5 (run 5 yards for 1 yard in the air) 12-9i = 3 (run 3 yards for 1 yard in the air)
