i like playing in haunted houses and, in my experience, you do not want to sell the wraith wax or the candles unless you have a surplus of them. they burn faster than you think they will, and it does get annoying when they keep waking up in the middle of the night at some point. also, try turning them off during the day!! you don't need them at daytime the ectocakes are also good with hunger need (at least some of them) bc you eat one and your hunger slowly goes up over the course of the next hour or so. some spirit drinks will also reset your age!! but its truly a gamble also hoping you and your family are safe with the hurricane

I have a family I'm playing in my main save rn that's my version of the goth family. Thinking of making a Landgraab family to go with them as well but name them Newcrest (have a whole fake storyline where this family bought and built Newcrest themselves). I have one child in my Goth family (named De'ath) who is going to be a pastel goth so I thought about making 1 child for my Landgraab family that is a full goth and seeing if they work. But the child I'm planning to make a pastel goth is going to do some romantic exploring first so I am not in a hurry to do this.

Pro tip for ghost offerings: If you have the Vintage Glamor stuff pack you can get the globe bar, serve a tray a drinks from it (instantaneous), individually pick up each drink (a little annoying as IIRC there will be 12), and boom, each one of those drinks will count as a handmade gift when you go to make an offering, even if they've spoiled--and I *have* seen spirits accept spoiled ones.

if you light the candles, it dispels fear effects in a radius, and you can put them on the lots and drag them around while you're hunting! (and can put them back in your inventory before leaving.) makes it much easier. also, the ghosts seem to like baked goods best in my experience!

Reaper'a rewards week 3. Everything was going smoothly until, catching angel fish. First I sent my Sim to Oasis Springs. No luck. So, I moved mouse pointer to the reaper's rewards box and is says " Catch angel fish in Crawdad Quarter of Willow Creak." So sent Sim to the park in Willow Creak. The pond no luck. Then I remembered the river at the back of the park. Tried the middle spot no luck. Then I noticed the right sigh was sparkling with multicoloured dots. Thought this must be the spot. Had my Sim fishing there for weeks in game. No luck. Now I'm wondering if it's because she's a vampire. This happened in week 1 with the sèance table. So, I saved and exited. I think I'll have to try with a human Sim. And before you ask my vampire is maxed in cooking, gourmet cooking, fishing and more. Oh, I just saw a new laundry list it mentioned mermaids are to get tombstones amongst other things. Phew! That was hard work my thumbs are killing me.

If you have Realm of Magic, I bought the angelfish from there and then caught a koi with the angelfish in my inventory, and that counted. Alternatively, get one off the gallery and just catch any fish.
