A nice coincidence to have found your video right now, I was feeling quite heavy and now I’m leaving with a smile. I wish I had a bond like this with my sister. Every time she sees me I feel like her eyes fill wit hate and anger and Idk why, it’s always fighting and giving attitude with her and I wish I could just be able to laugh with my sister like you do. Don’t take your sister for granted because I’m only 14 and I don’t think I’m ever gonna be able to have a relationship with my sister that isn’t toxic.

I’m sorry to hear this. Maybe try approaching her one day when she’s in a happy mood and tell her how you feel without getting accusatory so that she doesn’t get defensive. Just tell her that as her brother you love her and you want to be there for her but you noticed she’s not usually open and you want to know if she’s going through anything or if there’s any trauma that makes her feel distant. It’s unlikely she will get anger at that in my opinion because women are actually very soft. It might be very hard to do but you can do it.

Thank you. I guess I'd start with building bridges based on similarities. Are there hobbies you jointly enjoy? Are there TV shows you all like? Are there places you like to visit? My bro and I are close anyway but one thing we do together that I think helps, is watch films / tv shows on a regular basis. That way we sit together each week and have a discussion about the show. Admittedly, I'm also super nosey and annoying when it comes to my siblings. I'll walk into their space and just sit there, or force a conversation with them, or hug them randomly - just because. We do that to each other and I think being annoying kinda works for us because we just have the mentality "ahhh they're not going to leave me alone so let me just entertain them LOL". Also, as normal as this may seem, my bro and I do a good job of just asking each other how we are. I think it can be easy to forget to do that when you see someone regularly, but it's really important to me. Sometimes we just wander into the other persons space, sit down next to them, and ask them how their week has been. It shows that the other person cares and is actually interested in a life outside theirs, which makes a difference. Sorry - I know this may seem like a very fluffy answer, but I hope it helps! xx
