Thank you Colin for the interesting video with the FC pens. I have not found these pens, but find the colours very pleasing.

Having watched this I had a Quick Look around while I was in town (Cardiff). W H Smith has a clearance section in their art area and they currently have several sets of these pens. Tuscany, Portrait, Manga and Design I think was the other one. Anyway, each set of six pens was £7! So I had to get the Tuscany ones to give them a go. I’m fairly early tin my art journey, but I can see me possibly going back and getting some more while they are a good price 🤷🏻♂️Thanks for sharing you demo and thoughts.

I have different aqua pens which I have not used for ages. Yet again you have inspired me to get them out and use again. I have only used them as a brush pen on paper without using water with them - 🙄 so will now try using with extra water. Thanks again Colin :)

Interesting pens Colin! I would have liked to see the painting/drawing fully dry too ! You could combine them with the darker colours of the inktense pencils too perhaps to get more variation

That was interesting! I use Tombow water markers and Arteza water brush markers. I put the color on my palette and add water, then move it to my paper. I wondered what would happen if it was done your way. I love how you used the picture from your flight. Thank you for inspiration.

I have that (6) set in FC Pitt pens. Love those colors.👍 I do have the 12 set of Goldfaber (on sale) plus the Greys... but I tend to use the 12 😁in a pick up the paint manner similar to using a half pan. They blend out great this way. The Greys blend out nicely directly on the paper. When I do draw with them I generally want most lines to stay, so I use a wee bit of water to wash. I have fun with them ... Nice demo 👌

It’s going to take me a while to get used to how to work with them for sure! Thanks for watching?

Thank you. It was indeed interesting. The strength of that dark green seemed a little out of place with the others in the set. I find brush pens quickly become almost permanent when used to finish a sketch completely before adding water. I find more control of pigment strength gained when water is immediately added. I also like to scribble colours onto ceramic, mixing them there and transferring to the paper can occasionally make things easier, but then it makes me think a little like what’s the point of them? I think I still find them confusing to use? 🤷♀️ Many thanks for the video. I have subscribed. 👍🏻🎨🖌️
