I heard that the reason why star wars blaster are made from old guns is because pinewood studios in the UK where they filmed many of episode 4 was next to an old military armoury. Episode 4 was filmed with a very small budget they made do with what they could get hold off and so used old weapons that where stored in this armoury and added different parts to them to make them look "futuristic."

Actually the one where you said was the MG 34 is actually the MG 13 which was mounted on German Aircraft the blaster that is based off of the MG 34 is the DLT 19 and the DLT 19 X which is a sniper variant of the blaster

The A280c blaster is based on the STG-44. I think there was also a gun made based on the 1911. I know that the DC-17 is based on what looks like a deagle glock (idk which version of the glock) combo, or maybe just a glock. The DC-15x (the clone sniper rifle) was based on a combo of the mg-42 and FG-42.
