I absolutely LOVE discover university. It is the only pack I bought at full price, and I have not regretted it once. I am at uni myself now, which makes me appreciate it even more. Altough, I will NEVER let my sims suffer through a language degree. It is pure torture.

LMAO i bet. and yeah i lovesd uni so much with the sims 3 and a lot of ts4 i’ve loved too although i haven’t done all of the pack yet.. i’m excited to explore the organizations and other degrees. but i LOVE sending my sims to college even if it’s from home. it’s an addiction for me.

@silleepigeon oh definitely! Most of my sims attend uni/college. But I am also from a country where most people do seek out higher education, so I guess it is normal here? But like... I regret choosing language (IRL) and I definitely don't want my sims to live with the same regret as me 😭

I've never played with societies too, it'll be cool to see you play with them! There is this turbodriver mod that allows you to have unlimited jobs. And if you're interested, there's this simrealist banking mod and your sims can have separate bank accounts.

omg thank you!! i knew that existed !! that banking mod also sounds interesting for this save, but i’ve hear it conflicts with simnation travel which i’m playing with… i’ll look into it! and yes! i’m hoping to explore the secret society too 👀

ah i’m so glad!! glad you like taz!! i think he’s fun. i haven’t played with aliens in YEARS so i’m excited to play with one again. i love the idea of an alien who is so fascinated by life on earth he becomes a biologist and dedicates an entire life to studying the life on earth!! so cute!!

University is also one of my favorite packs!! It’s really easy to just skip out on young adult’s social lives in favor for job grinding and I like that university is a good social space for them

Hiii, kinda off topic but do you have any recommendations for people Who can’t install Gshade how to get better/cuter lighting in game? I tried sunblind and cloud overrides and neither worked on my shitty mac :((. Also If you ever did Sim dumps for download, i would really like that, i love your style and how they look simultaneously cohesive yet different 🩵

hi !! i have no idea how installing sunblind works on mac but i would say that it has nothing to do with the specs on your computer since its essentially just changing numbers it shouldnt make your game run worse or better. make sure you follow the instructions tutorial! it is NOT like a normal mod, it doesnt go in your mods folder, it goes in the actual game files!! so also if you have installed your game in an unusual place (steam or a different drive) than you would need to track down where you actually installed your game. i would go over all that and make sure you did it right because i swear it helps a lot and i rlly dont think it can just not work bc ur mac is shitty !! you do need to reinstall it any time the game updates or repairs itself i find. bc itll like automatically replace those files! tedious but so worth in my opinion. otherwise, indoor / sims / cas lighting can be changed massively with mods, i use sforlinda's CASlight4 for cas, NoGlo and NoBlu by Luumia but i know there is also Out of the Dark by lotharihoe (i might switch to this one tbh!). looks like lotharihoe also has brighter walls and foundations which could help you too!
