Love that big mask. Maybe offer it in this size for larger prints and a smaller one for this sized plate.

That is a great idea! I will do that. Maybe as a set?

I think you would have a lot of fun with the roller stamps we use in pottery. They're basically a brayer, but the cylinder is a continuous texture stamp.

I agree. One of these days I'll buy one. I've seen them at Michaels.

I think you should keep the size. It works with 8x19 but will also work with larger plates!

Sherry suggested in another comment that I offer it in various sizes. I think I will do that. thanks for watching.

Not too large. I love it. Or 2 sizes. I have a 5 x 7 plate but I still like it large. Beautiful results this day!

Thanks for sharing your gelli-experiments! I can't tell you how many times I have picked up with a dark color and then smacked my forehead as everything was ruined... ONE DAY I will remember not to pick up with a dark color, at least not without REALLY careful planning. Love those texture plates. I need to go look them up! Hugs, debC

It's a real challenge to do this and record. I don't always think clearly. You'd think by now I would have to down to a science. But I still have bad days. I like to include what I think are my failures. It helps others learn from my mistakes. Thanks for watching.

The texture plates are in the section with clay sculpture and craft products, btw. (Not always an intuitive guess for these plates.)

@@MicheleEngel Thank you for THAT tip!

Your tutorials are wonderful! The first print could be done in reverse so you get the payne’s grey on top. Do the colors first then let dry. Lay the mask down on top of dry colored layer then apply your dark layer over the mask. Then remove the mask. Let this dry and the apply titanium white to pull all layers. For the sake of time in the videos turn camera off while drying. Or using a second plate to continue working on faster pulls.

You heard me, teal!😂 and it turned out great! I look forward to seeing where you use the deli paper one in yellow/red, and I love your masks, especially the big one. The last two at the end are gorgeous. Great video, thank you

I love Susan’s stencils and masks! And, in case anyone has this question, the texture plates she’s using during the course of the video can be found in the section where clay sculpting and crafting products are sold (at Michaels and other similar art and craft supply stores). I always wonder where to find the content creator’s supplies, so that’s the spirit in which I offer this info.

I really enjoy your gelli printing and collage videos! But please can you stop the music? You're commenting most of the time, and it's interesting, but the repetitive music is distracting and irritating. This is said to help, as I'm sure I'm not the only one. Maggie

100% with you on the music

I agree with you. I found it difficult to follow this - the music was not necessary at all and having to concentrate on speech was off-putting.
@sherryleggett161210 ай бұрын
I hadn’t even noticed the music until til this comment. Then I heard it but soon I forgot all about it. I doesn’t bother me at all but maybe my hearing isn’t as clear as some others.

This video was a frustrating to edit and finish. I have to watch it and see where the problem was. I worked for 2 days and couldn't get it to encode. Usually I do that then watch it and then fix things. For some reason in Final Cut the music always sounds lower then after the encoding I find I need to lower it. I didn't listen this time. I was so happy it finally encoded... I just uploaded it. UGH! Live and learn. But thanks for watching and letting me know.
